Pours slightly hazy with a nice mellow head that lingers around for a little bit
Smell the hops as soon as you crack the can which for a hophead like myself, this is very rewarding
Nice dense thick and creamy mouthfeel with very little no bitterness at all and jam packed with bursting tropical dank citrus notes
Overall I can't get enough of this brew and I'm very happy to say this is being brewed in upstate ny and its about time there's a brew to put that area on the map!

The best DIPA in upstate NY. Drank some tonight immediately following some Abner and, damn, if the Daylight didn't hold its own. Well done, Common Roots.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a pillowy head that sticks around almost through the whole glass, good carbonation for a crowler- you get extra points.

Aroma is off the charts, very pungent, it's like a tropical jolly rancher candy

Taste- more of the same in the taste, as well as an easy going bright bitterness that leaves you quickly to create a juicy impression

Feel- it dries up at the end to create a great drinking experience but I thought the mouthfeel was overall a little slick and cloying compared to west coast DIPA's. Now I know this is east coast but I prefer a drier impression all around for DIPA's. For single IPA's and Pale ales I'm all about the juicy mouthfeel, it just gets to be a bit too much in a double.

Overall, great beer. Love seeing small breweries knock it out of the park.

Poured from a fresh 32oz crowler. An absolutely terrific DIPA from a new brewer less than 40 miles from the old homestead. Juicy with a decent mouth feel and good lacing.
Dare I say Vermont-esque? Definitely worth the 45 minute drive any day of the week. Pretty psyched to finally find this kind of quality so close to home.

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a hazy amber yellow with a bubbly full head.

Aroma is straight orange blossom honey. Intense honey sweetness and a light fruity citrus.

Taste matches aroma pretty much. Tastes thick and sweet like honey followed by a light citrus fruit and then straight bitter.

Not a ton of nuance but good.

Can purchased at Fort Point Market in Boston, MA.

This one pours a lightly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

Smells like orange and grapefruit rind, leafy and piney bitterness, and candied lemon.

This is another really solid beer from Common Roots. It's not quite as good as Last Light or Bright Light, but it still shines fairly brightly for me. It's got a pretty bitter finish, piney and leafy, with sweet tea, orange, bitter grapefruit, etc up front.

This has a somewhat heavy mouthfeel, while still finishing fairly crisp.

Common Roots seems to be establishing themselves as one of the best Upstate NY breweries.

Pale gold color beer with a faint haze, tall white head trailed some lace arms down the glass... Aromas of citrus - lemon predominantly - with some floral and herbal elements at play... Lemon candy sweetness with some tropical juiciness and a mild bitterness; pith and peel and zest highlight a softer fruit presence... Light and smooth with moderate carbonation... 4/21/17 canning...

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a wide collar consisting of medium-sized bubbles around the edge of the glass and a thin film covering the remainder of the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit citrus are present in the nose. Faint bits of alcohol become noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has light to moderate flavors of dank grapefruit and pine with faint hints of alcohol towards the back end. The hops contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a light amount of crispness.
O: The smell and taste of this beer seemed to be a little one dimensional. I felt that it also could have done a better job in hiding it's alcohol.
