Brewed by:
Snowgoose Restaurant & Pub / Sleeping Lady Brewing Company
Alaska, United States

Style: Scottish Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.50%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Bravehart is rich with a smooth malty flavor and a brown sugar likeness derived from kettle carmelization during a three hour boil. A single addition of Northern Brewer hops lends a very balanced and subtle hop bitterness while the rich malt flavors seduce your palate.

Recipe reformulated in 2007 by their new head brewer.

Great beer after a nice morning roaming around Anchorage. Great color... my mouth was watering watching the server bring it across the deck. Smell was a typical Scottish-style Ale, and flavor was great. Unlike some strong ales, this one was very drinkable and went down easy. Thank you ma'am... may I have another??

This one is a kilt-lifter. Strong scotch aroma and malt character with a balanced bitterness. This is a great first brew coming in from the cold Alaskan winter. Goes great with the blackened halibut.

12oz pint glass from The Snow Goose Restaurant in Anchorage, AK.

Appearance: minor head, slight lace, chestnut brown with red hints

Smell: full hops and sweet brown sugar

Taste/Mouthfeel: hops, brown sugar and malt, almost a peat-like taste, single malt scotch

I liked this beer especially because I had it at the brewery, fresh from the tap. Good scotch ale if you can get a hold of it.
