Pours a nice golden color with some pretty significant haze and good carbonation. A nice white head forms and retains fairly well as far as the style is concerned and leaves pretty nice lacing.

Nose is full of alot more wheat than i expected, and a very nice lacto presence. A slight, almost corn presence though, which is odd. Could just be the wheat.

Wow! Very impressed with this offering from Sleeping Lady. A nice soft wheat presence with good carbonation and a great little lacto tartness. Very nice. Lemon zest and some slight citrusy flavors as well.

Mouthfeel is pretty much right where it should be. Nice and soft with the perfect amount of tartness. Fairly slick in the mouth.

Drinkability is amazing. abv is not even a factor, as it fits the style and is fairly low to begin with.

Overall a very well done berliner weisse by sleeping lady. Really wish they would put this one into growlers for us, as i would love to session this one at home.

At the brewpub the other day.

Right off the bat, this beer pours an impressive pale gold color, that is slightly hazy, with a creamy, lasting head and very good lacing. As good as this beer looks, the nose is even better. I get intense biscuit dough, clove, banana and light sour/tartness. The flavors on the palate generally replicate the nose, but with orange cream popsicle, more light sour and bread dough. Mouthfeel is light and fairly smooth, and this beer is literally mouthwatering. Drinkability is terrific, with alcohol well disguised and completely unnoticeable. Not sure what the alcohol is on this (should have asked), but I'm guessing it's pretty low.

Impressive. Not that I drink a lot of this style of beer, but this is certainly the best domestic berliner weisse I've ever had.

On tap at their upstairs bar, Sleeping Lady's Berliner Weisse is a cloudy golden blonde with a small white collar that leaves zero lace.

Smell is diacetyl and sweet cereal grains. Light vinegar came out as it warmed, but thankfully not on the palate.

Taste is very heavy on the cereal grain / fresh baked bread flavors, with little to no lactic, and a punishingly long, lingering grainy finish.

Mouthfeel is sharply crisp and light bodied.

Drinkability is low. Not a disgusting drain-pour, but a clear miss for the style, with almost zero sourness and an amateurish, husky bite. I should note that I had this beer about 2 week before John and Frank, and am just catching up on posting my notes maybe it evened out some in the keg, but I stand by my review as accurately reflecting what I was served.
