An interesting little big ale in a growler via DEPS in Northern Kentucky.
This unique saison pours a peach tinged amber golden color with a nice
head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin wispy pool, and features
some nice sudsy lacing. Nose of yeasty breaded malts, honey malts, light clove notes,
and subtle candy malts laced with light booze. Flavors exceed the nose with booze laden
candy sugar drenched in farmhouse funk with a light stone fruit note of peaches and
apricot that fade into the rear of the taste into a light herbal hop note. Excellent mouth feel;
medium body, medium carbonation that is lively, and a lightly dry subtly tart finish.
A unique hybrid ale that is like a cross between a Belgian golden, a tripel, a saison, and
a strong ale. Overall a really nice little brew!
Cheers
Odd nobody has reviewed this one yet----one taste at the growler station and I was
hooked!
