12 ounce bottle, bottled on 03/16/18. Thanks once again to Brutaltruth for the brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like milk chocolate, coconut, caramel, and roasted malt. Taste pretty much follows the aroma, but there's also some toffee and saltiness noticeable in the flavor. It's a mostly sweet smelling and tasting brew! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I assume Southern Tier was trying to get this to taste like the Girl Scout cookie with the similar name, and I have to say they succeeded here. Good thing I like those cookies and sweet tasting stouts, because this is definitely a dessert beer!

Pours jet black with next to to no head.

Smells exactly like a Samoa cookie. Exactly. God damn does it smell good.

Taste huge coconut, caramel, and chocolate notes. The taste is as close to a samoa cookie as you could imagine a beer being. The 10% is well hidden but there is some boozy warmth on the tail end. Super impressive that they made it taste this much like a girl scout cookie.

Moutfeel is thick and oily.

Overall this beer is clearly not for everyone but definitely the best "dessert beer" I've ever had and the 10% abv is a bonus.

This beer lives up to the hype. Salesperson at Binny’s suggested this to me after searching for Southern tier Crene brûlée . Was worth it. I tried one tonight and will save to share with friends who enjoy . Can taste the chocolate and the coconut and the subtle flavor of the sea salt. Awesome ! Well done!

On tap as a guest brew at Hiawassee Brew. Revisited in October 2019 with a 12 oz bottle.
Near black body with a good tan head.
Delicious aroma with roasted coconut, mild booze, toffee, chocolate and a touch of dark dried fruits.
Flavor. Appropriately sweet: not cloying. Well balanced mix of toasted coconut, sweet dark malts, dark chocolate and toffee.
Very smooth, full body with light carbonation.

Opened the bottle, and was immediately hit in the face by a Girl Scout cookie. Smell is strong coconut, right off the bat. Taste is toasted coconut (reminds me a little of a Zagnut candy bar), salted caramel and chocolate. Perhaps one of the more authentic coconut flavors and aromas that I have experienced in a beer. Very slick, not overtly boozy (given the ABV), and warms very well. Carbonation is both well-balanced and very welcome here. A sweet dessert beer made to sip and savor, and a very nice offering overall from Southern Tier.

Go out of your way to try this.

Smells better than it tastes, but still tastes really good. It is pretty sweet, so keep that in mind.

Dark chocolate is on the front end, with lots of it. Coconut is subtle and caramel is even more subtle, and at least for me, the sea salt is not picked up. I'm not sure how they did it, but this tastes just like a Samoa cookie.

Alcohol is very well hidden at 10%, and the body is just right.

If you like sweet, chocolatey stouts, you will really enjoy this.

Tastes just like its namesake Girl Scout cookie. Dark color, nice thick head, smooth sweet taste with equally sweet finish. Not as overpoweringly sweet as many dessert beers. Easy to drink more than your typical share.

Wow! Not what I expected. Pours dark. Smells like bourbon and coconut. I thought it would be really strong and sweet. It's actually very smooth. A great balance of chocolate and coconut with a slight alcohol finish. A true dessert beer.

Just like the Girl Scout cookie Samoas, but in a tasty imperial stout. Big coconut smell and flavor. One glass should satisfy your sweet tooth.

Not for me. I got a very synthetic suntan lotion taste. All other aspects were fine but the taste I simply could not handle. And I like coconut!

Came in a stemmed glass jet black with a thick deep beige head that settled slowly into a creamy mass.Sweet alcoholic aromas with some salted caramel coming thru as well,it had a real rocket fuel element to it.A layered palate starting out with chocolate and the salted caramel then the coconut comes in,the finish is big sweet and alcoholic. It does taste like a Samoa with a big alcoholic kick that lingers in the finish,ST did a great job here.

From a tall bottle, this brew is utterly black with a thin tan head. The aroma is intensely coconut...toasted coconut pie. Wow. The taste is sweet, alcoholically warming, and full of coconut and spice. I get lots of chocolate and tropical flavors. Incredible. Rich, thick, sweet, and full. One of the best desert beers I've had in a while.

Description matches the taste and (pronounced) smell. Very chocolatey, but a good quality semi-sweet sea salt chocolate. Way better than the Samuel Smith Chocolate Stout. It would taste great with ice cream.
