A faint crescent moon hangs low in the azure sky as the last pinpricks of starlight disappear into the brightening day. Quiet, repetitious sounds float up from nearly invisible waves lapping the beach. A cool mist hangs at the water’s edge, obscuring the early morning light into a luminescent, golden glow. One can’t help but feel a sense of easy calm in this magically surreal moment, as if caught in a universal shift, a sort of heaven-on-Earth amid the Lake Shore Fog.

Three words to describe Lake Shore Fog: hazy, juicy, refreshing. Three more: aromatic, delicious, golden. A year of brewing development has captured these attributes and rolled them into a brilliant new beer. We are using absurd amounts of hops, dry hopped on 4 different days, making it a juicy flavor and aroma bomb. A slight malty sweetness balances a dry and very mild finish which melds perfectly with its hazy appearance. Tropical, citrus, and stone fruit, and pleasingly floral character is marked with notes of big, dank, resinous Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Enjoy!

Very hazy golden color with a decent foamy white head, good retentions and some nice lacing. The aroma is citrus, stone fruit snd light sweet malt.
The taste is grapefruit, tangerine, peach, white grape, mango, passion fruit, very tasty, mild bitterness and nicely balanced. The finish is a bit dry with a touch of grapefruit and pine.
The body is medium, smooth and very drinkable, good carbonation level.
Altogether this is a tasty and enjoyable brew. The ABV is a bit high for a session ale but the taste and drinkability could be inviting.

Purchased as part of a 15-can variety pack from Sam's Club for $16.89. Poured into a nonic pint glass.

L - Super hazy bright yellow, with an extremely minimal pale white head. Alright lacing.
S - Insanely hoppy on the nose. Pineapple, tangerine, and kumquat come through most prominently.
T - Getting kumquat and pineapple on the start, and pushes into an amalgamation of citron, white grape, and hay. While balanced, it leans towards the sweet side of the spectrum. Not too much flavor, but intense hoppiness at the same time. Slight ethanol presence throughout; concentrated at the finish.
F - Medium-bodied, with light carbonation. Rather thin. Leaves a stickiness on the lips.
O - Honestly, a little disappointed. So far in this variety pack, this is probably the worst of them (so far). While hoppy, the flavors present aren't as complex as you'd expect, and the body is too thin to carry anything. It's a lot like a bottled tropical fruit concentrate that someone added a gallon of finely-carbonated seltzer to. The noticeable ABV unfortunately leaves this not as drinkable as the others, and it isn't as smooth as you'd think. I'll be straight - I don't foresee myself purchasing this one in the future, and recommend you don't purchase a can - to save for disappointment.

12 ounce can in a long stemmed IPA glass.

Nice pour yields a golden colored hazed liquid topped by 2F of white foam. Strong retention and soapy lacing.

Stone and tropical fruit mix with some light malt. Fruit aromas are blended.

Lots of fruit flavors; pineapple, mango, peach, and citrus blend.

Light and refreshing feel. Mild hops, no bitterness. A bit sweet and juicy.

Goes down easy, smooth, and tasty.

Southern Tier Brewing Co. "Lake Shore Fog"
12 fl. oz. can "BEST BY 03/03/22 LKW21244011354FL"

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy golden body beneath a short head of bright white foam. The head has already dropped but it's still holding a solid cap, and there are some mountains of lace left surrounding the glass where it once stood. The aroma is distincty citrusy with citrus pith, grapefruit, lemon, and orange over a delicate, lightly sweetish malt base. The flavor is fuller, with more malt character, although it remains fairly thin. The body is thin as well, maybe light-medium although it's leaning towards light even with the extra proteins. It's crisp, and there's some acidity to it as well that probably makes it seem even more thin. There's not alot of additional fruitiness although I will suggest peach, mango, and berries. All of the fruit notes are pretty soft though as this is overall a fairly thin and light beer. A moderate bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, acidic and fruity with some orange lingering. It's not bad at all, just a little lacking in comparison to most of the juicy NEIPAs on the market. It would be great as a summer beer but keep in mind that it's still 6.5% ABV.

Pours a very opaque bright gold with a big very persistent head. Smell is citrusy hops, lemons grapefruit. Taste is similar citrus hops- kind of blunted, balanced with malt sweetness, a tiny bit of bitterness. Pleasant. Rather mellow. Nice body. Overall a solid NEIPA and a nice beer, pretty typical of the style.

Hazy yellow, white head, not so great retention, good lacing
Mango and pineapple hop aroma
Tastes like it smells, kinda has a watery oatmilk character
Somewhat thin, could use more carbonation
