Poured a copper gold body with good head and stick lace. Aroma is slightly boozy with some citric and tropical fruit-like smells. A tad boozy, the citric hops are prevalent and there is a little balance due to tropical fruit-like sweetness. Also a little earthy, dirty and oily and ends up finishing boozy and crisp/dry.

Pours clear, gold in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is a great mix of herbal hops, bread, lemon, and meadow. Medium bodied, high carbonation slightly bitter. Alcohol is well hidden. Complex study in herbal hops. One of the better non New England style IPAs I have had in a while. Way exceeded my expectations. A lot of triple ipas are messes of where flavor is sacrificed for additional ABV. This actually adds flavor. Perhaps my favorite ipa from the brewery.

Bottled on 12/6/18. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a clear and transparent golden with some bubbles racing upwards; fluffy eggshell white head that fades leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of tropical fruits. Hints of peach, mango and apricot. Some bread and crackers. Subtle hints of caramel. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More apricot, peach and mango. Some grapefruit in the mix. There's a touch of sweetness going on. Nice hop flavors with moderate hop bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. The alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with soft active carbonation. It's fluffy, slick, smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a really nice DIPA. Nice hop aromas and flavors. It's definitely one of, if not the best hoppy brew that I've had from Southern Tier. Well done.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/6/2018. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.5% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a nice bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example as expected. Very well attenuated for the ABV.

A - Bottled on 12-6-18. Medium to dark gold color with beautiful clarity and white sticky lacing.

S - Citrus and apricot aroma is light.

T - Some alcohol, light citrus that's a little bit oily/resiny. Apricot, some oily spicy citrus rind on the back end, not overly bitter on the finish but definitely resiny citrus.

M - Thick and full bodied, oily and slippery on the palate.

O - A nice bigger sibling to the infamous 2X. A recommended try.

Golden yellow in color with perfect clarity. Poured with a short, creamy, bright foam with retention. Malty and bready aromas with  earthy hop aromas, a definitive booziness and light citrus notes. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Light creamy smooth feel throughout with pleasant warmth to the end. Malty and bready flavors up front followed by mellow, dank, citrus flavors. Medium hop bitterness through the middle followed by malty and mellow citrusy hops. Finished semi-dryly with sweet malty notes along with light, mellow, hoppiness. A ramped version of their DIPA, this is malty, mellow and has amazingly mellow booziness. Great flavor and easy drinking for a brew of this strength.
