S-CHOCOLATE is the first thing I noticed...very prominant
M-full bodied....great mouthfeel
O--WOW! what a beer! Recently this has been a "go-to" stout for me.

DOB 11/28/11

Black with a solid two finger mocha head that had excellent retention before settling to a thick cap. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Awesome looking stout.

Great chocolate aroma. That is about all that can be smelled besides a hint of alcohol.

Thankfully they did not use a sweet chocolate for this stout. It is bittersweet with some depth to the chocolate flavor. Some stout flavor exists under the chocolate with a little malt flavor. Also a little warmth from the alcohol in the finish.

Deep body with a really nice carbonation. Smooth feel. Fits the flavor perfectly.

Delivers what the name implies. Not too sweet but a bomber is too much for this drinker. About 8oz at a time would be about perfect.

Bottled 12/06/12

16.9oz bottle poured into a snifter

A: Pours an opaque black color with about a finger of dark khaki head that dissipates rather quickly

N: Right of the bat, dark chocolate with hints of caramel, vanilla, and a slight woodiness

T: The taste follows the nose, straight chocolate with a slight roast flavor. At the end it leaves a bitter chocolate taste that is quite pleasant. The 10% ABV is hidden nicely

M: Full and creamy, the chocolate sticks to the palate for a while (i dig it)

O: Pretty good Chocolate Stout. However this is probably one of those 1 and done beers for me
