Good
Notes: Live Session is bright, refreshingly loud, and cracked up to 11 by adding generous amounts of Citra hops, reflect the feeling of live music. Live Session pairs great with toe-tapping or head-banging to your favorite band on stage.

Sometimes these sessionable beers don't end up being very tasty, but this is the exception to the rule...

Though it had a short lived head and no lacing, it was a very nice beer to look at - a gradient colored brew from a yellowish-orange to a more distinct orange color - something I enjoyed simply inspecting up to the light. The smell was sweet and citrusy, though lacking any background odor of malts or hops. Well carbonated but not distracting the taste is very juicy and lightly sweet, with an overall impression that this is certainly solid to very good.

Look - poured into a 10 oz glass. Light golden in color, transparent, and small head with some lacing.
Smell - a lot of sweetness, with underlying citrus hoppiness. Some tropical fruit notes, and lychee.
Taste - just lightly hoppy, with underlying malt flavors. nothing particularly stands out, but smooth and has a clean finish.
Feel - medium bodied, high carbonation, and a bit high for a session at 5.5% ABV.
Overall - not overly bitter, but has the nice punch of hoppy fragrance, and is quite easy drinking.

very few beers this light are also this robust on the hops, i thought it was really solid, and among my favorite recent southern tier hoppy beers i got to drink, cool they have so many canned hop forward offerings now, but i guess all craft is moving in this direction. anyway, the citra pops in here like crazy, there just something real modern about it, hopped like a hazy pale but without all the starch in the malt base making it heavy, really fresh to me although i didnt see a date on the can and suspect it could have even been a few months old, it drinks brand new. the peppy carbonation and the light body help a lot with making it a refreshing ipa, but the profile of the citra is great, lemongrass and soft herbal aspects as well, low bitterness but not none at all, and with a light oily feel that can only have come from lots of dry hopping. the is really pretty interesting for being mostly or entirely citra, its multifaceted, comes in waves, and really showcases this hop pretty well. tasty stuff, crushable at this strength too. ive been a fan of their hoppy beers lately, better than i remember from the old days when i lived in new york.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned on 04/01/19.
A: Pours a very slightly hazy, golden toward amber color with a less than one finger, white head, rim retention, and spotty, albeit foamy, fluffy rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of caramel, cocoa, slight citrus and pine.
T: Semisweet. Flavors basically follow the nose, but spicier. At least medium bitterness consistent with the style.
M: Medium bodied with solid bitterness.
O: Nearly sessionably and drinkable. Kind a medium all around, just sayin.

Pours a pretty golden color with a short white head that settled into a light ring.

The aroma is of a nice floral hop, some grapefruit. Bready notes from the malt.

The taste is of floral hops, a bit soapy and grassy. A bit of spice. The malt is bready but light.

The feel is moderate and fizzy. Fairly balanced but finishes quite dry.

A bigger version of a session but still drinks very dry.

12 oz. Can DOB : 2/25/19 Opened on 4/17/19

A spakling and clear golden-amber coloration. Smooth and leveled all-white foam has decent staying power. Nice, long coverage.

A classic APA nose, effervescent malty grains, like golden wheat and dank herbs. Wet grass, high tide and several things that smell like the past. Fresh hop cones on the earthy side with husky corn and sour yeast notes.

A very light and sparkling clean malty grains type feel and flavor at first...
Soft and smooth, slightly dry finish is classic APA. The hops inject some funky grassy Earth tones that vibrate into slightly sour wild fruits and herbs.

Drinkabilty is crazy high, crisp and clean but with very little hop complexity, unless you like the taste of 20 year old herbs and spices (which I actually do).
