As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with – or as – your favorite dessert!

Pours a dark chocolate brown with a bit of tan head. Smells like chocolate syrup, which is a good smell but a disconcerting one if it's all you can smell.

Tastes very sweet with an up front milk chocolate taste and undertones of roasted malt and burnt espresso. Carbonation is tiny and piercing, but makes up a good part of the body before disappearing into sweet smoothness and appropriate bitterness. Medium to heavy body. A chewy beer. I would have another someday, but it's not something I could have alone just because of how sweet it is.

Overall a pretty standard one of Southern Tier's offerings as far as what I've come to expect... which is to say: it's not an amazing chocolate stout or coffee stout, but it would make a pretty good dessert sauce.

Smell - Roasted malts, cocoa and coffee.
Taste - Lots of chocolate, transitioning to coffee and a lingering bitter finish.

Pours opaque black like brewed coffee. No head. Smell is mostly chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is odd, much more carbonated, like a porter or lager than expected. Taste is balanced chocolate and coffee but fades fast. No lingering flavor. Not very complex. Not bad but expected better.

This beer pours a dark brown/black body with a thick off-white tan head.

Nose is mix of dark brown bread, a very mutted creamy subtle milk chocolate(more of a foreign swiss or belgian chocolate than american). Faint hints of coffee with almost just touches of coffee bean. Not as over the top a nose as you might expect.

Taste is extremely full bodied and very thick. Creamy and almost milkshake-esque at the first sip. Thick very dark espresso combined with a rich milk and mildly bitter chocolate. Alcohol warmth comes at you quick and you really notice this puppy is 11% abv. Waves of dark grain, against touches of sweet new england brown bread, mutted belgian or swiss, or even german chocolate. Very creamy chocolate. Ends with a lingering

It's sort of like drinking a beer version of a starbucks frozen mocha drink, the kind that has loads of milk and ice. A good beer for sure, and even though I love the chokat, I gotta say, this not one of my favorite Southern Tiers.
