Notes:
Double IPA with citrusy hops. Leaves a lingering bitterness with just the right balance of malts to disguise the extra gravity.

Rich and coppery in color, 2-finger head. Great lacing; made a little heart shape in the pint glass, which is completely coincidential and your mileage may vary, but still a nice little moment for me. Smells citrusy-pineappley. The flavor is hop-forward and floral, with strong pine notes. I've noticed a lot of popular IIPAs going in a very malty direction that I am not personally a big fan of. This does not do that; up to you whether that's a good thing. Unremarkable mouthfeel. Medium bodied and very carbonated.
I'm happy as a clam. A definite favorite for me from an otherwise "Eh, But Drinkable" variety pack, and very good in its own right.

12oz can dated "best by 02/28/23" poured into a pint glass shows a cloudy, gold body and boasts a proud 2" head of lovely white fluffy bubbles that leaves a solid drape of lacing on the glass from top to bottom.
Aromas of grapefruit and pine resin match the flavor, which also includes a strong biscuit malt. A bitter residue remains behind.
Feel is full, well carbonated being just short of sharp, and not quite sticky.
Overall a classic double.

The color is strong copper and translucent with a very little off-white head. The smell is hoppy and inviting. The taste is of hops and something with citrus.

This is one outstanding brew! Pours a 3 finger head with lacing all the way down the glass. Scents of pine and grapefruit on the nose. Very smooth and not overly bitter for the style. Extremely drinkable and dangerous at 8.2% ABV. Bitterness does not linger on the back of your tongue. Very nice effort by Southern Tier.

Smells great, looks good, feels great. not my favorite double ipa. the ABV comes through too strong on this one and the alcohol overpowers the hops/floral/citrus/pine. dogfish 90min, great lakes chillwave, double dale's are all preferable over this.

Appearance – This poured a clear, nearly bright orange with a strong white head that laced beautifully.
Smell – The orange rind is huge at the nose along with some tame grapefruit and light bubble gum.
Taste – I get more of the tutti fruity bubble gum at the taste along with some light watermelon. No grain to speak of.
Mouthfeel – This is lighter than medium-bodied and flat with no drying.
Drinkability – When I first had this several months ago it was so off from what everyone else was writing that I figured I had a bad batch and decided not to review it. But now here we are again and I think that I just don’t see eye to eye with many of the other reviewers. This has some interesting hop notes but generally was flat for the style, lacked balance, and was one of the worst DIPAs I’ve ever had.

A very nice example of an IPA! This is one of my go to beers. It's wonderful off the tap and a great addition in your fridge!

Totally reasonable imperial IPA to have with dinner. Nothing special but not bad either.

Clear light amber color with a decent and lasting foamy white head, some nice lacing.
The aroma is grapefruit, pine and hints of caramel.
The taste is also grapefruit and pine resin followed by light caramel malt. The finish is somewhat dry with lingering pine and a hint of alcohol.
The body is medium, smooth, good carbonation.
Altogether this a modest but fairly well balanced and tasty brew. An excellent imperial IPA.

Drank from a can a PNC Park. Hard to give a fair evaluation. Love to find a can to take home and pour to a pub glass.

Purchased as part of a 15-can variety pack from Sam's Club for $16.89. Poured into a nonic pint glass.
L - Burnt orange with a slight haze. A one-finger off-white head pours with it; disappears rather quick. Lacing isn't too terrible.
S - Candied grapefruit peel, pine resin, and some grassiness. Citron presence is strong, but hidden behind the pine. A bit of ethanol on the nose.
T - While I am aware of the citron and grapefruit presence, the bitter pine tar flavors are a bit overwhelming here. Definitely on the bitter side of things - with a side of earthy wheat.
F - Medium-full in body, with low carbonation. Ethanol burn becomes more intense towards the end of the glass. Filling.
O - An unfortunately average DIPA. While I fully understand the angle here, the intense bitterness isn't justified here. The citrus notes that were supposed to be the star here was covered up by a surge of pine and ethanol - especially towards the end. I'll be completely honest - I won't be getting this one again. For those hop bomb lovers out there, even this may be too much for you. It's worth a try, though.

19.2 ounce can. Bright CLEAR beautiful copper with lasting rocky head and lace. Orange mango aroma with a hint of honey and pine. Medium sweet grainy honey and not too peachy fruity. Medium citrus bitterness and some pine to clean everything up. Nice carbo medium-heavy body. Fucking excellent.

And with the final one from the mix pack (I saved the flagship for last) these are way too sweet. IPA shouldn't remind me of candy. The ABV isn't that high either. These are a complete miss for me unsurprisingly. They're not bad or undrinkable but yeah.

12oz can with a big smudged date on the bottom
Looks like a movie beer, very slight cloudiness with a nice cap of foam that sticks around. At least it isn't riding the hazy train, I'm going off the rails with these hazy grain (IPAs). Smells like earth, pine and caramel malts. Drinks a little slick and feels higher than the 8.2% listed, but a well-balanced IPA nonetheless; read: malt forward to most. Grapefruit rind, fresh grass, fresh grass that costs $20 a gram (also known as WEED, DOOD), and also a pine tart finish
It's good but nothing worth seeking out. As far as hops, the bill here could pass as a pale ale or even a lager... I imagine they are cutting costs and hoping no one notices. Maybe some will like a pale ale that happens to be 8.2% - I think it's kinda lame
