Pours golden with white head in new DFH IPA glass.

Great lemon, grapefruit and pine notes.

Taste is grapefruit, pine and sweet malts. Nice bitterness lingers on the palate.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

Overall this is an excellent DIPA.

Bottle purchased at Beers of the World in Henrietta, NY.

Pours a light hazy dark orange, with 2 inches of head, and good lacing down the glass.

Smells strongly of citrus fruits, bitter grapefruit and leafy hops.

Similar- tons of hop flavors with low bitterness. Some floral hop tones, with a ton of orange, pineapple and grapefruit hop flavors, ending in grassy and piney hop flavors. Just a huge spectrum of hop flavors here. Slightly sweet malt flavor is washed aways by tons of hops.

Medium bodied, creamy, sticky mouthfeel up front then finishes dry. Very drinkable and well carbonated.

Southern Tier is known for their sweet stouts and pumpkin beers- but they also know to get some great hop flavor. Well recommended.

Bottle into a glass.

A: Bright gold, very transparent, head subsided quickly, sticky lacing remaining.

S: Light, refreshing, floral and lemony hop notes. A very slight malt note also comes through.

T: I'm not sure I can taste all 4 hop varieties. In fact, I might classify this as a IPA if I didn't know better. That being said, this beer is very good and very well balanced. There's just enough malt character to hold up the big florally bitter hop taste. Starts off more sweet, but as you sip and get the aftertaste, a clean bitterness overpowers the sweetness. I could drink this all day long.

M: Perfectly carbonated. Refreshing and sparky, slightly sticky, ever so slightly oily. I don't taste any of the 8.2% ABV either.

O: Great beer, if not really what I would describe a DIPA. I can't tell which hops they used, but they mingle together very well. Also, I believe they used just enough malt to really balance this beer out. Try this one.
