The label has a chicken with a farmers tan.
This poured a nice clear golden color with a large frothy white head. Insanely speckly lacing going on here. Aroma is malty, sweet and smells kinda like apples. Not too much hop aroma here.
Taste is pretty heavy on the alcohol. Its not well hidden. This tastes like half fancy lager and have Steel reserve. This need some hops.
Feel is moderate. Not drinkable.
i LOVE this brewery, but this is a miss. Wayyyy to hot.

650 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.0%. 19 degrees Plato. Malts are 2-row pale malt, European pilsner malt and white wheat. Kettle hops are Magnum and Mount Hood, dry hops are Santium, Sterling and Mount Hood. Golden colour, big white head. Strong and delightful aroma of American hops, also notes of orange marmalade. The flavour is very hoppy but not extreme, with hints of pine needles, on a background of sweet malts with hints of orange marmalade and some caramel. Alcohol is noticeable, but not dominant. A good lager, but I can’t help thinking that it would taste even better if it were an ale ...

Pours deep gold with a rich white foamy head. Surprising for a brew with a few years of age. Smell is faint..mostly a light boozy sweet smell indicative of age. Taste is bold like a lager with the malt at full flavor, again light booze sweetness lingering in background. Mouthfeel is thick for a lager..definitely heavy. Overall this beer is definitely a true lager, although it loses flavor with the age. Would like to try an imperial beer of this style when fresh.
