Appearance: Dark, dark red color with two fingers of tan head that fades slowly with a curtain of lace.

Aroma: Sweet and creamy, with some coffee and cocoa notes. It kinda reminds me of a White Russian.

Taste: Mild bitterness over roasted malt, with a rich, creamy body. Chalky cocoa with some burnt notes show up on the back end leading to a lingering finish that become more bitter with time.

The Rest: Quite good, no hint of any booze in here. I'd love to have a bottle of this the next time someone says, Oh, Guinness is like a meal in a can. This would make their head spin.

A- pitch black with a creamier light tan head. Head lasts a while a leaves some lacing.

S- sweet. The lactose and grain dominate. Earthy

T- roast malt on the beginning and finish. Some of the lactose sweetness balances the dominant roast notes.

M- smooth and full

O- a very good, just short of great, stout. Not complex but what is there is good and well made.

Sampled last night on 9/25/13. Chilled down to 36 degrees in my beer cooler and poured into a pilsner glass.

Pours a very dark brown (almost black) with a small thin tan head. Left good lacing when sipped. The aroma is of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate.

The taste is pretty much as would be expected by the smell except with a hint of dark fruit. Very smooth and not a 'hoppy' finish as might be expected. Well balanced flavor.
