Yes, I like it. I will go out and get more. Basically there's no bad smell, no significant flaw in the appearance and it tastes great. A strong smell here would be out of place - a more malt forward smell would be desirable, but there's a lot to like about the taste.

Taste is a pretty simple formula. There's warming alcohol notes to this, but they aren't fusel and they are well balanced to a slightly juicy mouthfeel. Hardly bitter, but just enough to keep the sweet from being cloying. The sweetness it pretty mild - its not a "milk" stout style sweetness, which can be slightly sour in a very nice way. This is more toffee-like. There could be more bread or toasted flavor to increase my like of this beer, but on the other hand, it doesn't get ruined with any strong flavors of fruits.

The headiness is great. The mouthfeel and simple flavor makes this sucker easy to quaff. So you get all this alcohol down quick and the flavor keeps reminding you that its in there, without bowling you over.

Good stuff.

Bottled 2/13/2013. Poured into a glass goblet.

Flat black color with nice, dark-tan foamy head. Ok retention and pretty good lacing on the glass. There’s not much in the aroma, save for a little maltiness and some sweet lactose. The beer is quite sweet with bitter malts and bittersweet chocolate as well. It has a very nice roasty flavor that pairs well with the sweetness from the lactose. The best part is it’s mouthfeel - nice and thick on the palate, deliciously creamy and smooth. At the end the hops become more evident and they complement the sweetness with a nice bitterness. There’s not a lot of depth or “oomph” in the flavors, but it’s a very drinkable milk stout.
