Citrus-y, grapefruit notes with pine-y grassy undertones. Literally taste like goose island summer ale with grapefruit

12 oz bottle into pils glass. DOB 02/26/13.

A: hazed. orange for sure. slightly off-white head is tightly bubbled. retention is good and lacing is spotted.

S: certainly hoppy aroma. sweet, but mild orange-like smell. bitterness is there too. malt as well. balanced.

T: a mildly floral hop flavor starts things off. slightly citrus. a decent orange peel flavor and bitterness. finish brings a malt chewiness, a little bit of vanilla.

M: carb is moderate. medium bodied.

D: not too shabby. nothing thunderous, but certainly not a bad brew. just lacking that umph that I enjoy my favorite pale ales. maybe this is better a bit fresher, but mine isn't that old at 2.5 months, especially for a bottled conditioned brew.

A - Just a tad more than two fingers worth of clean crisp airy audibly fizzy bone white colored froth comprised of huge chunky bubbles... Really good retention ultimately gives way to a full even veil of moderately thick lacing... The color is a pale medium gold... A moderate bit of moderate paced medium sized carbonation bubbles some of which cling to the sides of the glass... Some lacing clings to the sides of the glass...

S - A real pleasant aroma... A grassy hop presence is at the forefront... There is also a subtle toasted malt presence... Simple straight-forward, but rather effective...

T - The earthy hop bite is again at the forefront... It never over powers, but it is constant throughout... A light metallic tinge lingers beneath the surface... This all sits a top of bready malts and toasted malts...

M - Medium bodied... Moderate carbonation... Clean and crisp... Just a touch of stickiness... The finish is ever so slightly dry... Spry and lively throughout...

D - A rather pedestrian American Pale Ale that has a tad more hop bite than most... Nothing remarkable nor nothing off putting... I absolutely love the label which is a collage of random used concert ticket stubs... A decent enough brew that I would gladly indulge again if provide the opportunity, but I'm not sure I would invest in a six-pack or case in the future...

Four hops and four malts makes this easy to drink session beer worth while. The beer pours a nice small head with a light golden color. The aroma is grassy citrus that is appealing. The taste is an interesting mix of hops that proves unique with a slight floral/grassy after taste. All in all the beer is enjoyable and is a nice option for any party attended by rookie craft beer aficionado's.

Bottom Line: Good effort by the ST boyz.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber with rocky white head, big patches of lace. Smell: pineapple, grapefruit, lemon peel are all here but somewhat underrepresented... light biscuity-ness beneath. Taste: lots of hop flavor and nice bitterness...sugared grapefruit, pine, lemon. Mild caramel and dried apricot. Medium bodied with a fluffy feel and semi-prickly carbonation poking through. Nice.

A: Slightly hazy very light golden body with a very robust white head. It has a ton of active carbonation. The color is really light, and is just darker than a pils. Some mild lacing on the glass.

S: The scent fills the room as soon as the beer is poured. Lots of hop aroma, pine-like and a bit of a catty background...but not too pungent.

T: There's a nice crisp bite from the hops that fades rather quickly. It's sort of like squirting a lemon into the mouth really quick. After that there's a rustic bread flavor that is very light.

M: The beer is very light with just the right bitterness and carbonation. It is extremely drinkable. There is some harshness to it, which seems to be a bit more than a usual APA. The body is very light.

O: This beer feels like it has a lot more back-bitterness than many other APA's, and a little less upfront. It is pleasant to drink and I would say that it is above average. The APA range of beers runs the gambit of lighter to heavier hop bitterness. I think this one has a harshness that would be more accepted by IPA drinkers. I do recommend it.

Appearance: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of a white soapy head (good retention and lacing). Some yeast poured out of the bottle producing a heavy lava lamp effect.

Smell: Grapefruit, orange, grass, some tropical fruit, slight malt sweetness.

Taste: Medium bitterness upfront which carries through to the finish. Flavors are bitter grapefruit, pine, herbal.

Mouthfeel: Light/medium bodied with medium carbonation. Super dry finish.

Overall: Pretty good and refreshing pale ale for a decent price. Worth picking up a 6 pack.

Appearance: Light hazy yellow, bountiful white cap, decent lacing.

Aroma: Earthy, spicy hops first, some citrus, little malt.

Taste: A little fuller than I expected, at 5.5% perhaps the word Session is just a descriptor. Hops forward, mouth puckeringly astringent hops. Not in a negative way because the taste is pleasant, but definitely hoppy. I searched for the four varieties of malt used but they kept running away and hiding behind the hops.

Texture: Fairly full and the overall profile being better for it.

Overall: The brewer says this is a Citrusy Session Pale Ale. I say good game but I don't think they'll take the Conference Title.

Pours a pale, straw colored, golden body beneath the foamy white head which is pretty consistent and leaves a sticky ring of lacing around the glass.

Light straw and grassy hop notes rise from the glass. A touch floral and herbal and just very fresh.

Flavors are similar offering straw and grass with fresh hops and wheat.

This brew offers a lighter body with medium carbonation and a crisp, fresh finish.

Another nice beer from ST with great flavor and aromas which are fresh and distinct.

Poured from bottle into a glass. Hazy golden color with nice head that dissipates slowly leaving some nice lace. Light and drinkable. Subtle grapefruit notes followed by nicely balanced hop profile. Very sessionable. *Bottle-conditioning leaves natural sediment in bottom.

Pours a hazy pineapple-yellow body with a small white head. Looks lively. Silky lacing.
Smells lightly of orange rind and grassy perfume, with malts underneath.
Tastes just like it smells. Finishes a bit dry, but refreshing nonetheless.
Mouthfeel is soft and the hops impart a pleasant bite.
This is a lighter, refreshing style I don't visit too often. Great after the lawn-cut.

Appearance - Golden yellow with a nice white head and lacing. It could be a bit darker.
Smell - Good fruit and citrus aroma, not very strong but still there. I wish it was a little stronger.
Taste - Too light in body and I feel like there isn't enough malt, weak tasting. However nice fruity citrus flavor, very good not overpowering, just enough. Not much malt to speak of, very hop dominated which is sort of okay!
