The cloudier the better with this brew. In my experience with this beer, if u get crystal clear LIVE you have not recieved the best southern tier has to offer. However if your LIVE is all muddy u have the best beer offering the beer gods can deliver. Have yet to determine what makes this beer so muddy and great, wether it is early runs or later ones, or if sitting for awhile helps. If you discover the secret let me in!

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass.

A: Pours a slightly hazy orange color forming a medium and bubbled white head with medium to low retention and some lacings left in the glass. Lots of particles floating around that I suppose are the result of dry hopping

S: Great nose. Very flowery, fruity and piny. Strong notes of tropical fruits, pine and a touch of citrus. Strong notes of pale malts, mainly Maris Otter. Reminded me the Brewdog Punk IPA. End is a bit earthy. Refreshing...

T: Slightly sweet malts in the beginning. It's always nice the combination of Maris Otter malts and piny hops. Makes it more refreshing and with a strong tropical fruits character. Moderate hop bitterness in the end

M: Light body. Medium carbonation. Something to be mention is the water quality of Southern Tier that gives the beer a quite smooth texture. Piny and fruity aftertaste

O: Great drinkability. An APA that could be easily classified as an IPA. Quite hoppy, refreshing and... Delicious

Had on tap at Isaac Newton's in Newtown, PA. Served in a pint glass. Yellowish amber color. Closest pale ale I've had to an IPA. I very much enjoyed this beer. I find this as a good beer for those who aren't in the mood for all the bitterness of a full IPA.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass at around 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Appearance: Golden yellow color with a two finger soapy off white head

Smell: Very citrusy and floral, bready pale malts

Taste: citrus and pine upfront, toasted malts, and a bit grassy at the end of the palate that carries into the aftertaste. The burps taste great!

Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel; Well carbonated and slightly hoppy. Refreshing to be sure

Overall: A well hopped pale ale yet balanced by slight malt and grassy character. Very refreshing and sure to please during the warmer months. I find myself drinking more IPAs and doubles nowadays, but this is a solid example of the style and I will consider this as a sessionable hoppy beer.
