Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass at around 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Appearance: Golden yellow color with a two finger soapy off white head

Smell: Very citrusy and floral, bready pale malts

Taste: citrus and pine upfront, toasted malts, and a bit grassy at the end of the palate that carries into the aftertaste. The burps taste great!

Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel; Well carbonated and slightly hoppy. Refreshing to be sure

Overall: A well hopped pale ale yet balanced by slight malt and grassy character. Very refreshing and sure to please during the warmer months. I find myself drinking more IPAs and doubles nowadays, but this is a solid example of the style and I will consider this as a sessionable hoppy beer.

Pours a nice amber with a two finger head. Smells yeasty and citrusy and very bright. Reminds me very much of a grapefruit like beer. Some pine like flavor. A very nice clean and refreshing beer. Has good flavor and good mouthfeel. Alcohol is well masked.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a thick head that dissipates way to fast. Little or no carbonation.

Smell: Nice floral/fruity smell.

Taste: Nice floral/pine taste with citrus notes.

Mouthfeel: I'm surprised to feel a good carbonation when I can see none. Medium body, quite nice.

This beer somehow ends up being a totally decent beer.

look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: There's a minimal haze to this deep gold-hued body. Frothy, white head.

Smell: There's a light pale maltiness given a smear of cereal sweetness, slender but sufficient hoppiness, and a just a touch of yeast.

Taste: Pale malts, though light, with a medium level of cereal sweetness. Limited hop flavors of fruit, citrus, and florals. Modestly bitter. Southern Live, while not Dead, closes out with a fairly neutral finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Sensibly smooth mouthfeel.

Overall: For what it is, it's still a relatively pleasing beer.

Golden hued with excellent clarity. Vibrant carbonation is evident with the inch thick rocky white head. Brussels lacing. Aroma of pale biscuity malt and a blend of hops is judiciously used. The feel is very light, smooth, and drinkable. There's the nice blend of piney and citrus hops on the front of the palate. I get biscuity pale malt following shortly thereafter. The fade is rather abrupt.
