The colour is gold, the liquid is clear. The three finger head is off-white. Good head retention, some lacing.
The smell reminds of an opened bag of hops. It is more English than American. Resin and some caramel.
The taste is somewhat hoppy with some citric and floral notes, resin and smooth bitterness. Medium body. The aftertaste got growing notes of citric acid and bitter hops. Caramel and lemon juice. The long finish is smooth with some clean bitterness.
The carbonation is medium strong, the long-lived bubbles are small. Mid-smooth liquid.
An old APA (the best before date was December 24th 2015) that reminds more of an English Strong Ale. I guess that it was much better when fresh. Not bad, but...
