The colour is amber, the liquid clear. The white head is two fingers high; it sinks slowly leaving fine lacing on the glass.
The smell is sweet and malty with some caramel and a touch of butter.
The taste is fresh and quite bitter. Some clean sweetness and caramel, and a touch of brown malt. Light to medium body. The aftertaste is clean with elegant bitterness, caramel and growing notes of cookie dough. Butter and salt biscuits in the finish.
The carbonation is strong; the semi-sharp bubbles are medium sized. The liquid is smooth.
A well-crafted take on the Vienna style with a bit more hops than usual in the style. It reminds me a bit of Staropramen Granát.
