The colour is pale brown, the liquid crystal clear. The Low off-white head disappears quickly without any lacing left on the glass.
Alcohol in the strong clean smell. Figs and dates, some raisins. Nuts and Brandy.
The taste is clean and smooth at first with notes of Brandy and nuts. Growing alcohol and caramel sweetness. It is surprisingly simple given the strength. Medium body. Dried fruits in the aftertaste as well as Brandy and liqueur chocolates. Warming clean alcohol. The finish is long with matured (heavy) spirits and nuts/almonds.
The carbonation is strong with large long-lived bubbles. The liquid is smooth and somewhat sticky.
I had hoped for some more complexity. Still a clean and smooth strong lager.
