What what what?? Magic Hat Chaotic Chemistry was to be found here at one time so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
The place is mostly liquor and wine with a 1/2 aisle of beer. The problem was, it seemed like they just got a big liquor delivery and stacked it all up in that last aisle so you couldn't even get to the beer. I had to slunch over cartons of this and that just to get a good look but I wasn't overly impressed. A few Belgians and Euro imports but nothing I felt the need to climb over stock to get at.
Over at the coolers, I spotted a good amount of 12 bottle sampler boxes from various breweries including Magic Hat, Harpoon, Long Trail and Flying Dog (the ones with the labels that have those sick drawings by Ralph Steadman). I've never seen the Flying Dog box anywhere before.
I asked some kid about the Magic Hat Ravell and he just didn't care enough to even be disinterested ("No, we don't have anymore of that").
You'd do better at Racebrook Package at 5 corners in Orange (across from Pasta Fair).

Not worth the trip, at least not for beer. The only thing I've seen here that I haven't seen elsewhere was a 12 of modelo negro, and even that isn't that special. Their website is terrible and awfully misleading. It feels like their beer selection was tacked on at the last minute, only one aisle and maybe 4 or 5 fridges. Very disorganized to boot. They advertise that they do make your own 6 pack on their website, but I couldn't find 6 beers there that I'd want to drop the money on. There are a lot of other, better places in the area.

If your looking for a 6 pack of the ordinary this is the place to go.

Nothing special. Cheaper than the grocery store if your looking for Sam Adams or the likes.

The store is tiny and the asiles are sort of hard to get down. I think if your into wine maybe you go there. I honestly don't drink wine so not sure but the selection looks nice and easier to get around from what I saw.

I think the staff is very nice. Always a fun conversation when I stop in. But if hubby and I are looking for something special over to NEBC we go.

4.0? these numbers are utter garbage.

ask me, the reviews were padded. check out the last two reviewers. look similar in any way? that gerald guy gave this place a 4.7 and amity a 3.4 or something. youve got to be shitting me. just my $0.02.

as slander stated, this place has a midget half-aisle of 'craft beer,' which barely cracks the surface of what's available in the area. just went in there looking for any hooker bomber or big bottle.. nothing. one sixer of APA and a whole lot of magic hat and harpoon. maybe a bottle of lindeman's framboise and a 4pk or two of sam smith nut brown. la chouffe looked like my savior, but was priced FAR from competitively. alot of sam adams choices, most of which are representative of last spring/summer seasonals (its october, people).. this place is literally a stone's throw from New England Beverage Company.. even though they lost Spencer, their selection still wallops the pants off this petty store.

convenient location off 95? i think not. brave the skinny tunnel of door-panel scraping and maybe you'll make it here.

only plus was a beer guy who knew some names of some craft beers, despite the fact that he didn't carry them. seemed like an OK guy, but the store is all about vodka in 1.75 plastic jugs and beer is not a featured item. way more space dedicated to smirnoff ice and mike's hard. the craft beer area is blocked by box stacks, and almost inaccessible anyway!!!!

cant rate the value because i didnt (and wouldnt) purchase anything. dont really need any of what they have.

do not go here. it is a waste of your time.
