500 mL bottle. Inky black with a small khaki head. Smells of coconut, chocolate, and lactose, as described. Taste is intense. Coconut and lactose combine to make it taste very sweet up front. Milk chocolate. Vanilla builds into the finish. Heavy and very sweet. Nothing cuts the sweetness and it just kinda lingers. Unbalanced, for sure.

Fair amount of slightly bitter charred grain aromatics and taste, almost nutty like there's peanuts in the mix somewhere. Good execution of lactose without over sweetening and the vanilla is pleasant but I can't say I found coconut anywhere. Coffee is a little lighter than I expected and wanted as well.
A decent non-ba stout but not worthy of the accolade it seems to be receiving, there are better things collecting dust on some shelves

Great beer. On tap at Provisions Market.

The beers smells amazing there is obvious coconut, vanilla, and burnt grain up from with a hint of maple in the back. The taste is incredible, a little sweet but still very good. The coconut and vanilla are right up front and blend very well. The chocolate and coffee and in the background but still contribute to the beer. Overall, great beer. Best offering from Abnormal to date. Well done.

This is a great beer... so we are just splitting hairs here... but it seemed as the flavors did not meld together perfectly... each individual flavor you get is great.. but could use some age to blend the flavors. Over all a great, fantastic beer.

A: Lots of smooth chocolate, coffee, quite decadent with a light malt sweetness.

A: Totally black color with a small tan head that quickly recedes to a thin ring in the glass.

T: Big coffee/chocolate flavor upfront followed by light malt sweetness and no perceivable bitterness.

M: The beer is full bodied, with moderately light carbonation with a very smooth mouth-feel (from the oats).

O: Wow, this beer has a great, super rich aroma, delicious chocolately/coffee like flavor and a very smooth mouth-feel. Quite impressed with this beer – reminds me of liquid desert.

On draft at Churchill's Renaissance, one of the best non-ba stouts around. Pitch black color, with minimal head. Amazing blend of fudgy chocolate, vanilla, pb, and coffee thatis smooth and balanced. Creamy, fluffy body really rounds it out. Really quite perfect....

This is one of the best beers I've ever tasted. Big viscous feel and tastes like a liquid candy bar. Specifically had a combination of flavors that were a lot like a butterfinger bar. Chocolate, peanut butter, hint of coconut, lactose sugars, vanilla, and a nice roast. Completely dark look with a nice head retention. Great job Abnormal!

On tap at Abnormal Beer Company for Mostra Coffee's 2nd Anniversary celebration.

An amazing imperial oatmeal stout. Heavy chocolate, vanilla, coconut and coffee aromas and flavors all blending together flawlessly. No single aspect overpowering any other. Absolutely world class.

When they put this in a bourbon barrel, all Hell is going to break loose.
