Friendly staff. Willing to talk shop. Show how they do it. Usual SD warehouse location. Food trucks come by. Tv's showing the game. Nice breeze and a great selection. 15 or so on tap, nitro as well. Diverse list of IPA's to RIS... Opened in 2015. Nice spot. Small batch beer. It's great to see a place this small have more on tap than society down the street. How is that possible?

One of the most unique places you will ever walk into to try a in house brewed beer. The beer itself isn't much to brag about but this place is f'n awesome.

An eccentric cafe, on disco mode when I was there. A ladder to get to selection of hard liquor for cocktails. Several bottles of wine, and their taps. Fair beer place, pretty quiet with a few people buying beer-to-go.Server was pretty sharp and funny.

Small brewery with tasting room in industrial building on the main drag. Short straight bar perpendicular to the entrance on the right seats 8, with a few tables inside and a dozen picnic tables on the front lawn. 20 nicely assorted beers on tap. Crowlers to go.

 

 

Kilowatt makes some GREAT beers. They also make some so-so beers. In my opinion, about 70% of the menu is great and the other 30% is a pass. I've also experienced some inconsistency with some recipes. Case and point: Mango Pale Ale. This beer drank like a fruit beer when they first released it; sweet, fruity and light. Some months later, the beer had transformed into a hoppy pale with a slight mango aftertaste. I stopped drinking it for about a year and finally gave it another shot only to find that they had changed it to a new recipe closer to the original while still maintaining some hoppiness. Ive heard other people tell similar stories.

I will say, however, that they arent afraid to try new and crazy recipes which I find refreshing. Not being afraid to take risks is what keeps me coming back to Kilowatt. They also have one of the better bottle clubs around. $30 every other month gets you three 22oz bottles, a free flight and 20% off your bill. Not too shabby.

Overall Kilowatt is worth a visit and they have some awesome beers, just be prepared to potentially deal with a little hit or miss.

 

 

 

 

Great little spot.

Cool little place with a nice selection of drafts. Many different styles. Fridge with about 6 or so different bombers for sale. Quality of the brews was good. A few were really good. Some were average. Nice guy behind the bar. Food truck outside. Enjoyed it

 

 

 

Came during the soft open. Nice staff and promising beer.
