Had this on cask on July 4th, 2016.

Cloudy gold with plenty of head. Smell of citrus and grassy hop notes. Taste of citrus zest, fresh-cut grass, with a earthy finish. Full-body from the cask which gives a delicious creaminess.

Look - very nice, pale gold color, but not a lot of head, and not much retention / lacing as I drank it.

Smell - great hops / floral smell, but not quite the depth of some of the best APAs.

Taste - seems like it's between an APA and IPA. Hops are not overpowering, and goes down smoothly, but lacks the complexity and linger that the best APAs have.

Feel - on the medium / lighter side for an APA, goes down easily, especially on a hot summer day.

Growler from Premium Draught in Houston.

A: Pours a slightly hazed, pale golden/orange. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace.
S: A big piny, grapefruit, citrus hop presents. Maybe a little biscuit malt in the background, but really the hops are the hole show.
T: Again, hops up front and center. Citrus, piny, lingering grapefruit bitterness.
M/D: A medium body that is crisp and effervescent. Very dry as well. Not hard to drink at all, the growler will be gone in no time.

I think Live Oak succeeded in what they wanted to make, but this certainly has the hop profile of an IPA. This is probably more of an IPA then Liberation. All fine, and I do enjoy this. No reason to avoid this, but not among their masterpiece German interpretations.
