A winter beast of cinnamon and malt, creamy with a sweet aroma. This beer finishes strong with sweet vanilla. Snow Beast is the perfect beer for when you're caught in a harsh Nebraska snow storm.

Copper colored with a fingernail of off white around part of the rim. The aroma is of caramel and cinnamon. I'm tasting cinnamon, lots of malt, and some vanilla. The mouth is dry and crisp.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped '11/22/2022'.
Medium amber colored body. Very brief brown tinged, off white head disappears within a few seconds, leaving some surface bubbling and a very thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet, with vanilla and caramel.
Taste is also sweet, with the flavors of caramel, nutmeg, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon. Finishes a little bitter from the spices.
Medium smooth and creamy mouth feel. Okay carbonation.
Pretty body color and a balance between sweet and spicy flavors.

This was the last of four beers that I picked up from Kinkaider in Lincoln, Nebraska when I was out that way not too long ago. It wasn't winter then but it is now and even though it's been mild here, this was an enjoyable Winter Ale with plenty of nuance in the flavor and a subdued alcoholic presence to it. Indeed, this was a nice take on the style that was easily accessible, true to form, and not the least bit strong or spicy!

Lovely chestnut hue to this as it was topped off with enough head that softly settled down. Only a ring of suds stuck around on the liquid once that happened as there wasn't any lacing to be seen down the sides of my glass. Lots of cinnamon, pumpkin pie, brown sugar, and sticky marshmallow in the nose as the taste had all of these in it. This felt more like an fall beer than something for the winter months as just a bit of caramel stickiness and nutty spiciness emerged once this fully warmed up. Nicely carbonated and spot-on with the alcohol, this warmed up without me even realizing it!

Not like a darker Winter Warmer or overly spiced Wassail, this straddled the line between two seasons but would still be fine for enjoying after a soft snowfall. I wasn't familiar with the malts used here and the vanilla felt like extract in the taste that kept this as light as possible for the style. Not your typical Winter Warmer here but this was still worth enjoying - especially if you wanted something after Thanksgiving as a transitional beer. Even without a legible date on the bottom of the can, I still have to give props to Kinkaider for straddling the proverbial line with this offering!

Faint smell of cinnamon and toasted malt, pours with week head that quickly dissipates leaving a gorgeous red-brown elixir. Med- light mouth feel. I'd be pleased even if I had paid for the beer. Not bad, Cheers!

They say vanilla, cinnamon, malt can be found lurking in the unexplored regions of this beer. Like other cryptids we’ve encountered, this brew tantalizes, with each flavor allowing itself to be briefly sensed before disappearing behind the next flavor. There’s an interesting point-counterpoint between the sweeter vanilla and harsher spice/malt flavors. Rather harsh finish, which ain’t good. I drank the second one from a glass, and the finish was much smoother. 2018/01/12

Delicious 7% that you cannot taste the alcohol. The vanilla and cinnamon notes reminded me of roasted marshmellows.

Pours a deep bronze brown with a finger of off-white head. Head retention is okay with fair lacing. Aroma is spices, caramel, molasses, and toasted and nutty malts. Flavor profile is just as sweet and sugary with powerful notes of caramel, molasses, and toffee. Toasted and nutty malts present as well. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a smooth consistency. Overall, a flavorful sugar bomb of a winter warmer. Lots of sweet, winter goodness in the aroma and flavor profile, but it may be too focused on the sweet for some.

Served in a 12oz snifter.
