poured from a bomber into an eastern sierra lager pint glass, body takes an orange-gold glow with a tint of red in it, nice carbonation and a thin head with a small amount of lacing.

The smell is very hoppy and floral, a fresh multicolored garden combined with an orange tree is what I think of. The malt is there backing it up but the forward scent is all hop.

The flavor is great, it's got a ton of malt and hops in it with some stages. Initially I get a nice hoppy bite to the brew accompanied with some of the citrusy type flavors associated with hops. This is followed by a solid brown sugar and caramel malt taste which definitely gives a great backup and refreshes the palate for the next hopping. The 3rd stage ism back to the hops, this time its a spicier type woody hop that I get which gives the mouth a nice thing to leave on and impart a great aftertaste.

The mouthfeel is great, it's got a perfect amount of malt to the hop flavors they were going for. This is what I like to feel out of an ipa.

Extremely drinkable, for a 9.75% I taste very little alcohol and a ton of different flavors which all need their due turn in recognition...my palate is glad to try and identify them and it can't wait to do so!

A: Brilliant reddish amber under a 2” sudsy off-white foam collar that grips the side of the glass producing fine sheets of lace.
S: A boquet of citrus, earthiness and spice.
T: Big citrusy hop flavors floating in alcohol and rich malt.
M: Warming alcohol, smooth, big body, medium low carbonation.
O: A nice way to mainline IBUs

22 ounce bomber, purchased in Watsonville, Ca's Cork and Bottle.

No freshness info/bottling date info.

Pours a super clear and rich shade of bronzed/coppery amber, under a lazy and relaxed oatmeal colored head, that rapidly goes to a thicker collar and leaves just some spotty bits of lace.

Nose reveals notes of sweet malts and just a hint of hops lurking in the rear.

The sweet malt theme continues onto the palate, sort of suprising for the style. Waves of caramel melts most in contro here, glimpses of citric and grains hops are present but sort of towards the rear.

Enjoyable and tasty, big and bold flavors abound. Medium body and carbonation is at the correct level. Super smooth and an easy flower over the taste buds

Well done and worth a try if you like a malty DIPA thats bordering on a barley wine.

The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is very fruity. I get a ton of tropical fruit notes including pineapple, mango, apple, papaya, peaches and starfruit. Every time I smell the beer I get something new.

The flavor is also very fruity. I get some caramel malt along with a ton of papaya and mango. The flavor is not as complicated as the aroma, but it is still a great tasting IPA.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very good Double IPA.

Dark orange pour with a tall beige head that gives way to a lacing that sticks to the side of the glass. Dank and piney smell, with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit and salt. Bitter-sweet taste, with notes of grapefruit, gooseberris, unripe apples and herbal hops. The alcohol is present and noticeable, otherwise this would have been a much better beer.

On Tap

Churchill's Pub & Grille

Clear orange and amber with a thin off-white head--spots, lines, and spiderwebs of lace left down the glass.

Bold aroma both with big, citrus, resinous, dank hop notes and tons of big, sweet, syrupy sweet malt accents, along with just a touch of alcohol bite.

The flavor follows similarly with tons of both hops and sweet malt characteristics. This is just a touch too sweet and a bit boozy for my liking, though I can appreciate what's here.

Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

A big, hugely flavorful, sweet DIPA. This isn't the direction I prefer my DIPAs to lean, but this is no slouch of a beer.
