22oz bottle brought out by leftpaw in the fall of 2018.
Pours yellow, 3/5" white head, good retention. The aroma didn't hit much if anything in terms of aroma hops, weird, Drake's makes some aroma bangers. Bittering hops are noticeable in the aroma, but not so much aroma hops.
Hefty dose of Chinook hops I suspect, larger than Mosaic for sure, the Styrian Cardinal and Warrior hops are so rarely used its difficult to taste much in terms of bittering hops unless you follow the pine pungent bitterness of what I suspect is Chinook in a proportion significantly higher than that of Mosaic. Just wasn't dankness, tropical, berry notes like Mosaic can deliver in droves. This was like the old ibu wars dipas but without the crystal malt. Very light malt bill that allows the bitterness to dominate every aspect of the beer.
I tend to dig Drake's more than the average reviewer, so this one being so off for me is not par for the course.

So pleasant, neither sweet nor hoppy, full-bodied, thick and slightly slippery, silent yet complex, buttered alcohol, warms the belly with spike, wakes up the gut, toothless on the mouth and throat

Bottled on 10/03/18
Opened on 11/28/18
IUBU 87, 8.0% ABV, OG = 16.9 P, 2.2 degree G
L: Gold with thin head, not too dark
N: pine and guava, fruity scent after opening bottle. Fermentation scent after deeper sniff. A little like sewer(yeah, just a hint, though)
Taste: easy to drink, slightly sweet taste with hoppiness. Quite bitter. 87 IBUs surely gave me a great strike, but the beer is not hard to drink even with great level of bitterness.
Finish: smooth fruity finish
Overall: good buy, easy to drink, nice DIPA.

Tangerine, orange, pine resin, white grape and grapefruit pith. A solid bit of malt up front that fades out on the finish. Fairly sweet and bitter, yet sorta clean tasting on the end. Pretty good. West IPA style for sure.

Sharp and fruity big IPA. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Molly Stone. Color is a light golden yellow with plenty of foam in the tumbler. Spritzy and fairly acidic on the tongue.
Flavors of apricot and pineapple are the first arrivals. Modest malty taste with substantial body. Some sweetness but more of a dry finish. This is really an excellent hoppy brew with more than enough bitterness but mellowed by all the fruity flavors. Brewer lists these as just some (!) of the hops: Mosaic, Simcoe, Idaho 7, Mandarina-- and dry hopped with Huell Melon.

Bottle date is 8/30/16 so this is just 3 weeks old. Pours a dark gold with thick white head. Aroma is wort, bready malt and some slight funky "off flavor" pineapple. Taste is a dry, bitter malty/rye bread flavor with minimal tropical fruits. Finishes very dry. Not impressed. Maybe I got a bad one?
