Kinda surprised this doesn't have a review from me yet, it was pretty widespread it seemed for a hot minute.

Pours a light familiar golden yellow to light orange color with clarity that looked more comfortable as a hazy ipa than a brut ipa. 2/3" white head. Didn't pop much hop wise in the aroma, had some grain, hay and lemongrass to it.

Taste was a mineral water meets ipa kind of feel, which I guess is more of a mouth feel commentary than taste. The taste was fine, it was pretty light flavor and heft wise, but made 7% easy to drink. The hops weren't real discernable in terms of giving off specific flavors or attributes traceable to a specific hop, vaguely hoppy along traditional C hop lines. The mouth feel expressed the biggest carbonation level I've ever come across in an ipa I think.

These did go over pretty well in the softball league, as most of the BMC drinkers were cool with this one. Didn't really resonate with me too much as a brut, was just another hoppy beer.

Hazy straw with lots of champagne like carbonation, and 2 fingers of white head.

Smells of dried hay, a hint of wet dog, dry white wine, horse blanket and fermented hops.

Tastes of dried tropical fruits, horse blanket, and fermented hops.

Light, crisp body with lots of carbonation.

I got this in Santa Rosa, and am drinking it in Redding, Feb 21st, 2019.

Pours like an unfiltered looking wheat beer. 5/8" of head with some lacing but not too heavy there, pretty good carbonation and bubbles. The date on the 12 oz bottle is too blurry to read which is sketch, but it looks like it was bottled around Xmas 2018. It smells malty and sweet. Feels kind of thin compared to a heavy IPA. Finishes bitter and hoppy which is nice. You don't get that sweetness or as much fruit, fainter fruit taste but yeah just a bitter hit at the end. Not bad.

This is more frisky on the tongue than some other Brut IPAs I've tasted recently. Warm and toasty malt. Starts out with a little malty sweetness but finishes dry. Interesting hints of lime and green melon. And green pepper with a grainy aftertaste, moderate bitterness that suits the floral flavors.

Overall this is quite zingy and pleasant. It's even kind of delicate, though the bitter, hoppy aftertaste keeps it in the IPA ballpark. Sometimes the 12 oz re-cappable bottle is the right package. From the six pack purchased at the little Eureka Market liquor store up 17th Ave in the City.

Straw golden hue, slightly hazy. Great one finger head and lots of lacing. Bright and lighter in color than your typical American IPA. It glows a bit.

Sweet floral and lemon hops on the nose. Almost like a saison but piney hoppy bittnerness funk is there. This is an IPA.

Taste is faint white grape, zesty tangerine, gentle pine, candied grapefruit peel, spicy pineapple and hop complexity.

Effervescent and dry finish but surprisingly medium bodied. This is what makes the ale standout. Crazy great mouthfeel!

Very drinkable! I’d take this fresh pretty much any day! Solid A!

Tried on tap at Drake's Barrel House.

This is what I've expected from the brut ipas. Dry, crisp, clear--the polar extreme of the hazy craze. Hops shine through on this.

The beer pours out a crystal clear light golden color, with 2 fingers white head---------- the aromas are of floral notes, grapefruit and white grape----------- the flavors are of grapefruit, floral notes, white wine and pine, the beer has a thin mouthfeel with a big bitterness on the finish--------------- overall this beer had some good things going on, but I wasn't a big fan of the floral flavors and big bitterness. If that was toned down some it would be a great brut ipa imo

Bottle poured into a Drakes Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves a little light lacing.

S: Bright tropical fruit and citrus, light pine, spicy and grassy notes, crackery malt, and just a touch of sweetness.

T: Zesty citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemon, resinous pine, fruity side comes out more as it warms, passion fruit, light apricot, and a hint of white grape, floral, grassy spicy notes, crackery malt, and just a touch of sweetness.

M: Super light body, prickly carbonation.

O: This is my first brut IPA and I've gotta say, I don't hate it. I was worried it would come off as essentially a stronger session IPA, but it's got more depth than that.

Poured briskly into a standard pint glass from a 12 oz bottle dated 08/29/18. Brilliant straw hues with moderate effervescence. Dry, but not as dry or attenuated as anticipated. Moderate, smooth bitterness with notes of tangerine, pine, and gooseberries. Overall a very pleasant contrast to the abundance of NEIPA juice bombs on the market currently.

Sample from the brewery. Pours a bright gold with great clarity and lots of lacing. Certainly lighter in color than your typical American IPA. Fragrant and expressive in the nose, with white grape, zesty tangerine, white pine, candied grapefruit peel, and fresh, spicy pineapple mingling enticingly. A touch of solvent emerges as the beer warms. Effervescent, and on the lighter end of medium bodied, Brightside is grapey and faintly citrusy on the palate with some noticeable alcohol heat. It finishes quite dry with a semi-astringent linger, but is nonetheless quenching and relatively quaffable. Overall, a strong example of an emerging style.

First time trying a Brut style IPA. Lots of hops amora and very carbonated. Very bone dry finish, Great flavor and interesting mouth feel. I look forward if this style takes off, I'm a fan. Well worth a try.
