We thought it was delicious. Enjoyed it with some small bites of a nice sharp cheddar. Outstanding finish, not sweet. The citrus and pine notes were not overdone; and at 6.75 ABV, although too high to be a session beer, it was still considerably more quaffable over the long haul than some popular 8s. Quite good.

I went to Drake's for their Aroma Coma event. I had the double dry hopped version at the brewery but I brought home a bomber that is labeled 7/15/15.Took about two days before I cracked it open.

Look: Amber and frothy head.
Smell: Tons of tropical notes. Pineapples and mangos.
Taste: Tropical and piney.
Feel: High carbonation. Bitter at the end that lingers.
Overall: One of my favorite offerings from Drakes. It screams west coast IPA.

Growler purchased at the release. Tulip.

A: Pours a bright golden color with a huge, oily, off-white head that slowly faded into a very rocky film leaving great streaks of sticky lace down the glass. I can tell this beer is fresh and impressively hopped just by the way it works.
S: Huge notes of citrus dominate including scents of tangerine, orange peel, and juicy grapefruit, but I get sweet and nectary hints of pineapple and apricot. No malt to be found. Grapefruit and a bit of pine in the finish.
T: Follows the nose with huge notes of citrus hops, grapefruit, and pineapple in the finish.
M: Very slick mouthfeel, even carbonation, medium body, smooth and easy to drink.
O: A very solid and highly drinkable ipa. I would drink this now and again if it were available everyday.

Pours a light golden amber with a nice frothy head. Very hoppy nose as expected, equally heavy citrus and piney hops. Pretty bitter on the palate, the piney/resin hops seem more forward here than on the nose. Pretty solid body, the bitterness lingers, owning up to its 75 IBUs. Pretty solid IPA for not being over the top ABV.

Bomber served in a tulip.

A- Pours an absolutely crystal clear golden-orange body with a two finger off white head that lasts.

S- Tons of citrus aroma. A little pine in the background and ever-so-slightly noticeable alcohol. Lots more going on, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Something like dill and pineapple.

T- Moderate bitterness, but a fairly balanced malt and hop presence. More piney and grassy than citrusy in the taste. A lingering spiciness and some mango finish things off.

M- Medium feel with crisp carbonation.

O- Pretty tasty brew, and even better since it was a trade extra!
