On-tap.

Pours a dark brownish-amber color with a one-finger tan head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of dark malts with good amounts of chili peppers, and slight cinnamon and nutmeg. Also present are slight amounts of semi-sweet chocolate and booze-soaked dark fruits.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. Slightly dry dark malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by mild amounts of cinnamon and slighter amounts of dark molasses. Midway through the sip the sweetness subsides a bit with the addition of moderately spicy chili peppers. Near the end of the sip slight dark chocolate flavors make a brief appearance before fading out into a mildly bitter and spicy ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It’s got a nice thickness with smooth carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I had no problems finishing my glass and could have another.

Overall this beer was as advertised. An interesting amalgamation that is worth a shot if you see it around.

Pours dark mahogany with a thick creamy head that clings to the sides of the glass and just slides down the sides after each swirl.

The aroma is sweet with some noticeable spiciness. Namely cinnamon and coriander, but mostly cinnamon. There is lots of sweet candi sugar and dark fruits with the peppers taking on a very smoky character. It doesn't seem all that peppery in the nose.

The taste is initially the same sweetness of the nose with candied fruits, molasses and cinnamon (though less prominent than in the nose). But the kicker in the taste is the massive burn that doesn't kick in until a few seconds after the first sip. Then it just builds up throughout the glass until it leaves your lips burning at the end.

The mouthfeel is creamy and well carbonated and the palate is pretty smoked after a few sips with the peppers leaving their mark.

This is a creative take on a quad with a whole bunch of stuff thrown in. I like what the peppers bring to the table but the taste might be a little too jumbled to call it a great quad. If this thing had some time to mellow it could be outstanding.
