Can to mug, the appearance was a murky pale light orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Light stringy foamy lace ran around the glass.
The aroma had some sweet wheat, coriander/maybe light clove, light vanilla and a sturdy citrusy pulpiness. Belgian yeasty/breadiness came about nicely.
The flavor was substantially sweet with a blend of the wheat to the citrus. Belgian yeastiness plays good part here, but somewhat fainter. Aftertaste was the Belgian yeast and coriander.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a pretty good sessionable sort of feel to it. Carbonation played lightly along my tongue. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty nice witbier that I would have again if I could get it.

Poured from a can into a weisse vase, the beer is a bright, hazy, straw coloring with a ton of carbonation bubbling clinging to the glass, and a tall, foamy, bubbly, white head. Nose of toasted grains, heavy coriander spice, ginger highlights, orange rind, banana, and some floral notes. Flavors are roasted and toasty forward, with a bready backbone supporting a solid spice blend of coriander, cinnamon, and nutmeg balancing with fruity notes of orange, apple, and banana. Effervesced, light bodied, with a fruit cake-like aftertaste. Light, crisp finish, with a decent spice linger. Good beer.

A decent witbier with a big shot of orange.

A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of wheat are present in the nose along with notes of grainy malts.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of wheat and has some notes of orange peel and slight hints of coriander, the latter of which are only noticeable in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. The wheat imparts a little roughness to the mouthfeel.
O: This beer is very easy to drink but seems very wheaty compared to other witbiers. It seemed like it could use more in the way of orange and spice flavors.

12oz can picked up at Brewforia Meridian for too much... Just too much. ;-) Poured into my Elysian pumpkin goblet.. Hazy pale orange... Short-lived white head shows little retention or lacing. Nose has big coriander, and the cumin really doesn't work.. wheat malt with some Belgian esters.. Again, the cumin comes across weird on the finish... Reminds me of the way a catbox smells... citrus is mild... Light body as expected with a decent heft from the wheat, carbonation is good... Really pedestrian across the board... I had high hopes because it is Midnight Sun and because the high price tag, but the brew is a complete let down... Not that good showing for a witbier at all.

I never turn down a Belgian Wit. Thanks to Donkster46 for sending this from Washington! You rule, dude!

Serving style : 12 oz can poured into glass for appearance and taste

Appearance (4) : Mango-pineapple body with a near-perfect translucent depth. Sticky 2 finger head slowly recedes and leaves webs of lacing around the glass.

Smell (4.5) : Ahh. This is why I LOVE Wits. Orange spice and fresh orange with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clean water. A beautiful, fruity, lightly hopped aroma that I could whiff all day. So nice, so light, so fruity.

Taste (3.5) : The orange dream I thought I'd taste has somehow gone by the wayside and replaced with a thin wall of fizzy seltzer and medium-strength spice. An odd bitter taste accompanies it, like the taste on the back of your tongue after you've sucked an orange peel dry a half hour ago. The wheat is there and it's strong, but I'd almost be willing to call this a wheat beer with a little orange flavor. There's hints of banana, grapefruit, chopped pineapple, and bottom of the barrel coriander. I'm extremely disappointed. I wish there was more orange in this wit.

Mouthfeel (2.5) : Heavily carbonated to the point of being annoying. There's a slight smoothness underneath but make no mistake, this brew is fizzed.

Overall (3.38) : Pretty disappointed here. I was expecting greatness with the first two categories and then it took a brave dive off the highest cliff and faceplanted itself onto mediocre blvd. Towards the end it even gives off a medicinal flavor. I guess I don't really care if I have this one again.

Acquired via trade from Donkster46 so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains wheat, bananas, Belgian yeast, some citrus, some spice and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out with some breadiness from flavors of wheat, Belgian yeast and a hearty but not too malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of citrus and spices come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer but there are better choices within the style.
