i agree with some of the other reviewers that this has an old school feel to it. a little more malty than many, orangey sort of colored with a little chill haze and a nice white head. the hops are pungent in the nose but not over the top, definitely less of a west coast style, no oils or anything jumping out at me, things seem to be safely within balance here. for its color, its not that sweet. i expected a blast of caramel malts in here, but they never come, which i dig. it seems more body than flavor from the richer grain base. the hops rise above it a bit, but never really come in too hard with the bitterness. there is a little woody pine, but not all sappy and thick like some can be, its more delicate, with a citrus hop finish. perhaps lighter on the dry hop than many. its well carbonated and easy drinking, and it offers something a little different in the style. very colorado i think. for me this was tasty, but not as impressive as either the ranch hand ale or the oaked pale, but its one i could have several of very easily. cool spot here too, definitely worth stopping in.

Appearance - copper in color. Smell - has a fruity mango smell to it. Taste - Tropical in flavor, solid representation of the style. Overall - I would drink this again, I like it. Might be better on tap.

Kind of an old school IPA in that it's not a hop bomb and doesn't dazzle with tongue-scraping bitterness. Easy drinking, nicely balanced. Good first beer from this brewery (for me). Would go nicely with a grilled burger

Golden orange hued body; thick, sticky, chunky white head. Floral aroma; sweet smelling; caramel. Caramel and crystal malt sweetness initially followed with a nice, slowly building hop bitterness; oranges. Medium-heavy body; slightly coarse on the palate; warm.

A solid, well-balanced IPA. A tad hefty on the palate with the sugars yet doesn't come across treacly. It may not set any new standards but it's still well worth trying out.
