Cool upstairs taproom and brew pub. Bar is large and they have about 20 drafts, combination of beers and ciders. Great space. Food was pretty solid as well. Service was very good, food and beer were great. Great spot to check out.

A very large bar/restaurant/brewpub on the second floor of a long tourist mall which is several blocks long. Met friends late Saturday afternoon and the area was packed with people, parking a nightmare. Finally got lucky and snagged a spot 3 blocks away ($6.35 for 2 hours).

Inside, the place was pretty full and the service was good. Lots of people eating what appeared to be large greasy cheese burgers. Lot of children as there are many games such as pinball machines, pop a shot, etc. The Cornhole seemed most popular.

The beer was good. Seventeen beers to choose from, plus hard ciders, seltzers and wine. The WC IPA was spot on and the American IPA was a good tasting “hazy lite”.

Smack dab in the middle of a giant tourist trap, the place was fun, the beers good, but I probably wouldn’t return until a weekday in the off-season (I believe this past week was spring break for a lot of people).

Went here to have lunch and to try their beers. The place is in a tourist trap area called John's Pass, so beware that parking is scarce and people aren't. (A city parking lot is a flat rate $20!) The brewery is located on the second floor of a retail strip building. (The brewery has no connection to the Mad Pub at the base of the stairs to the brewery.) The brewery is a large open space with a large U-shaped bar and has plenty of tables/chairs and booths. Some seating is outdoors on their balcony. We arrived at noon on a Thursday and it was not crowded yet. The motif here is 'beach house' and I liked it. Since they weren't busy yet the service was very good.

There are 28 taps that included 19 beers, 5 ciders, a seltzer and a wine. So that we could get an overall evaluation of their beers we ordered a sampler flight of 6 beers. All of them were brewed very well to style so that we graded them at a B+ rating. I thought that the Czech Yo Self Czech Pils was outstanding, and the Biere Au Froid Winter Lager was also notable. (They offer a 'Walk the Plank' sampler flight of all 28 taps if you're adventuresome and have at least 3 people to share.) Crowlers are available for take-out.

The food menu is typical bar food but with some flair. One item was a double cheeseburger with bacon and raspberry jam that was sandwiched between two yeast doughnuts instead a bun. It was delicious. Strangely they serve their food on paper plates, which was a bit of a turn-off for us.

By the time we left it had become a bit noisy and detracted from our enjoyment, but a lot of that noise was from a basketball shooting arcade game. But if you venture to John's Pass, this is a worthy place to visit.

Visited last weekend and overall it's a must-stop if you're in the area and like good (if expensive) food and craft beer. Big place that can seat a lot of people, has all kinds of games for kids although I found myself playing air hockey as well. Food is big-portioned and greasy yet good bar food and the beer selection for a craft brewery that makes own beer is large (28 taps in total).

In John Pass Village above a long strip of tourists shops. A hugh long outside seating area that gets afternoon sun. Inside is a u shape bar area with open seating. We were here at 1230pm just passing thru on way to Indian Rocks Beach. Only had the flight it was 6 samples we sat out side it was shady and very nice., wait staff was friendly knowledgeable , was able to park right below the brewery as it was early, $2 for 2 hours. Worth a stop for sure.

Definitely has an adult arcade feel - video games, air hockey, and a whole lot of neon. Huge bar area and an overwhelming tap selection.

We ate outside at Mad Beach Brewing. Our server was very friendly & knowledgable. He got busy with a very large table (inside) and another waitress picked up our table for him. They know their beers! Our food was good, maybe a little better than your average bar food. Nice selection & specials for a bar. There are games inside - air hockey, 2 large Jengas, and corn hole. I really enjoyed their selection of beers. I had a flight so I could try more. Very happy with that decision!

I was at Madeira Beach for a family function and knew this place was close by and once I found it, in John's Pass Village I had to stop in, or up as it is on the second floor.
Really large open space inside with a long bar and plenty of diamond plate topped tables, along with a ton of outside seating. Open deck type area outside to enjoy your beer(s) if that is what you wish. There was only a couple sitting at the bar when I got there, surprising for a Sunday afternoon!
Cool painting's hang from the ceiling, depicting some of their brews in mural form; which helps separate the seating area from a "rec room" with corn hole, a pool table or two and an air hockey table.
You can order a paddle of 6 of the available beers, whether it's their own or from another brewery. Plenty available so I picked out 5 quickly and allowed the bartender to pick me the last one, told her to surpruise me. At first I wasn't that happy since it was a Black IPA, it was from Barley Mow, until I tasted it...it was really good.
All of the beers I had were really delicious, except for the Kolsch which if it isn't hoppy enough I am usually not a fan.
Plenty of beers (11) or mead (2) or wines (14) or hard ciders (2) to choose from so there's something for everybody! There were some snacks too, however just had lunch at another place in the little shopping area.
Check this place out.

OK, so trying to park here is a pain in the glutes. On a Friday afternoon in late June, nearly every space is full, then you get to pay $1.50/hr for the privilege. C'est la vie.
Upstairs in a strip of touristy kitsch businesses lies a fine craft brewer/vintner/cidery/meadery. Yup, quadruple-dipping.
Huge, U-shaped bar, 4 massive, diamond plate covered tables and 5 smaller ones.
Staff is quick, friendly and knowledgeable.
A flight of 6 house brews is only $10. Sweet!
Servings span 13 beers from Kolsch to Imperial Stout from the house brewery and the have several local guest brews also.
So put up with the parking and get some. It's worth it.

This was a pleasant surprise while enjoying a day of fun in the sun with my family on Madeira Beach. I'm not really sure if this place offers any food. I was just there to tip back a few beers. The service was fantastic, but the lack of patrons while I was visiting should be taken into account. The vibe was fine in my opinion. There is certainly ample space, so much so that indoor bags are available for your enjoyment, along with air hockey. There is also some outdoor seating. I bellied up to the bar. As for the beer, the pale ales, IPAs, and ambers we're all pretty average. I found that Mad Beach excels when it incorporates fruit into it's beer, meads, and ciders. The key lime cider was great. Quite unique and very refreshing. It was served with a slice of lime. The Pirates Booty mead was fantastic in my opinion. The 10% ABV was amazingly well hidden. It was sweet and delicious. My buddy was so impressed, he bought a bottle. I found Passion of the Ale and Another Day in Paradise to be very solid options as well. Both of these were very good warm weather beers. Overall, I certainly wouldn't pass up Mad Beach, especially when the alternative is sitting and drinking a bucket of Bud Light bottles at some tourist trap. This place has some nice beers, and lots of potential.

Nice space, love the location in Johns Pass, large bar. Seems like they are just getting started but need to keep more selections on draft.
