Good, solid change-of-pace beer for me. The heat is definitely there from beginning to end. This is a nicely done beer; chocolate overtones are secondary to the habañero influence.
Personally, I would not drink this on a “regular” basis, but again, for change-of-pace this was interesting. I would like to compare this can to tap offering. 8% ABV.

Would give this 10 if I could. They have really nailed the recipe over the several years they have been brewing this, and it’s the perfect beer now. Pours pitch black, smell is definitely chocolate with a hint of spice. Heat hits you up front and stays with you, just enough to keep you coming back for more. The chocolate is perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter and plays excellently with the slightly fruity habanero flavor. Beautiful, thick mouthfeel with the heat to cut right through it. Exactly what a spicy beer should be.

This beer is a trip! Pours very dark almost motor oil with a nice tan head. A unique smell for a beer chili pepper and chocolate. The flavor is where this is a different experience it has NO heat on the tongue but burns going down. Overall well worth the experience.

Pours a maroon/ebony with a finger of tan head. Slight head retention & lacing

S: Cocoa, faint pepperry heat, a smidge of coffee when warm

T: Follows the nose except in reverse, much more heat than cocoa, but plenty of that too, plus dryness up front. More heat, a little vanilla & more cocoa as this warms, dryness too. Finishes dry, with a little sweet cocoa & pepper heat

Drinks really easy, a good take on the style, although I prefer a heavier version. Has a nice chlile presence

A very unique and distinctive brew. I has great body with minimal head and some lace, and it is incredibly smooth with no bitterness. The primary taste of this excellent stout is mildly dark chocolate with a distinct by not overpowering habanero "burn" or finish. It is ideally more of a "desert" or after lunch or dinner beer rather than one to serve with meals. The lingering habanero tingle with the rich chocolatey stout taste will only make you want more. This great stout is especially outstanding for dark beer lovers when they have no place to go and just wants to chill with some friends. It has rapidly become a favorite in these parts!!

On tap. Pours dark brown with a tan, one finger head that recedes moderately and leaves minimal lacing. Smell of roasted malt and habanero. Taste follows the nose with a malt and chocolate body before the habanero takes over the finish. Strong habanero presence that grows as it warms. Medium-full body with light carbonation.
The chocolate and habanero are balanced, but the pepper lingers, which is pleasant for me. You kinda have to like habanero to like this beer. They went for it and it works.
