Pours a orange color with good clarity and a little head. Aroma is malty with just a wisp of smoke. The flavor had a light smoke and faint campfire with some wheat. Decent malt flavor more smoke would be good. Light body but more carbonation would help. Good beer, young, could use some tweaks, but good.

2/26/22 On tap at brewery.
Beautiful deep down brown.
Smoke in the nose for sure.
Smokey flavor. Reminds me of a pepperidge farm meat stick because of the smoke flavor.

Can't image more perfect rauchbier but with a amber ale body rather than just coffee taste it has more sweet malts and just a touch of real smoke flavor not too much you don't want to drink a steak sauce here! Again impressed how easy it went down dispite it being a warm summer day!

Holy smoke. Get it? This is pretty much what a rauchbier is. They stated it was an amber if I recall (thus I added it as such), but it's all smoke on this one. Lots and lots. I will just give them the benefit of the doubt that there are oats in here also. A really strong smoked beer. Not for everyone and very much a sipper.

This is a very good example of rauchbier, just not my favorite style. Still a great beer to expand your knowledge and taste
