Running around Denvertown, we’ve been beer and there and now just Uber’d on out to some some somewhere else. I mean, It’s been a looooooooooong day of play, but we’ve got this one more (place) in us yet. There’s loud music and a food truck out front, and did I mention beer? Sunlight fading, and taking me with it; I can tell ‘cause the normally slight & tight notes I scribble in this little book of mine have grown large and somewhat unruly. I guess I must be having fun...
Step up large long open space. ‘L’ shaped pebbled concrete topped bar to the rear with a vertical slat base & foot bar, seating 8 on cushy yellow chairs. Colorful mural barback wall over a 12 tap logo handled tower on stainless atop a double high double wide set of horizontal red metal glassware shelving racks. Crowler crimper alongside and a ‘to go’ cooler in the corner. Marque board above angled listing tap selections (beer, style, ABV, serving size, & price).
Concrete floors, high rafter rounded hanger ceilings, & cinder block walls. Drop astronaut helmet lamps over the bar, track spots and fluro panels across the room, and bulbage that is seemingly pulsing lining atop the marquee. Large garage door opening up to the front and 2 to the side exterior space; 1 of them a walk through and the other a half wall over seating. Shirt & swag zone on the side wall near the bathrooms, and a photo booth on the opposite wall. 2 long hightops off the bar stooling a dozen each, 4 shorty recs running the opposite way, and 4 tables for 2 on a shared benching back below one of the roll up doors. The brewery itself is in another room behind the bar; they’re doing some sort of comedy show back there now.
Beers procured and looking for some real estate outside to set up. Concrete patio with metal stool seating on an ‘L’ bar counter and tablings, and more tables below amidst the trees in the stepdown expanded space all graveled up. A small bar alongside not open just now and cornhole action. Colorful murals adorn the length of the wall, with strung bulb lighting from the building extending outward.
12 beers up (Domestica, American Standard Ale, 4.9%; Major Nights, Lime Gose, 5%; Dear You, Citra French Saison, 5.5%; Float On, Hefe, 5.1%; King of Carrot Flowers, Carrot Elderflower Saison, 5.9%; Stay Gold, Marzen, 5.3%; Repeater, Extra Pale Ale, 6.1%; Rented World, Session IPA, 4.8%; Sparks Fly, Juicy IPA, 6.2%; If You Want Blood, Blood Orange IPA, 6.5%; Antidote, IPA, 7%; Hold Steady, Dark Scotch Ale, 7.5%).
Stay Gold (Marzen) was really good, all malty beautiful and shit, Repeater (Extra Pale Ale) was in that sweet spot between Pale Ale & IPA, and Hold Steady (Dark Scotch Ale) was just amazing, ‘fo real, no phenol and all malt bomb love. Ben said Antidote (IPA) was a wonderful West Coast IPA, and right he was.
It’s a great space and yes, there are tunes. The beers are what I would call ‘Dialed the fuck in’ (shoulda gotten to that Biere de Garde). Someone knows what they’re doing here. We did dig.

Located half a block down the street from Odell Brewing (See Review) in the city's RINO District, Ratio Beerworks is a larger space with a huge and popular patio, where locals and tattooed hipsters enjoy some decent beer. The interior is a large industrial space with a small bar area off to the side. The beer is decent and the atmosphere is lively and fun. Talk to the locals, who will tell you where else to go. There is a food truck outside if you require solid refreshments. Ratio, like Odell, is accessible to the Blake Street Light Rail staion.

A really cool spot, in the coolest neighborhood in Denver. Cool beers on offer, busy, but room to move around. I’d love to try this spot again, the next time in town.

Great brewery with tons of space both inside and out. The outside patio had some cool murals and tons of seating. I had one of the best Coffee Stouts ever so the beer is just as good as the location.

The beer is excellent and the staff can be great. They've become successful in Denver which is great for business but it's no longer the best kept secret.

Stopped by twice during GABF and loved both visits.
Very easy going place that obviously has a love for music (as many of their beers are named after bands/albums/lyrics. They had some great music playing as well but it wasn't so loud that it distracted. Needless to say, the atmosphere was very relaxed. The large roll up doors adds a nice breeze that is essential with the Denver weather.
They don't serve food but there was a food truck set up outside during both visits.
There is some great woodwork and the tables look like the cost a pretty penny. While I don't love sitting on stools for an extended period of time, the quality of beer overshadows the slight discomfort.
I never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a beer and there was alway a decent crowd. I enjoyed it enough to visit twice and will definitely stop by next year and see how these guys have grown.

Atmosphere - Nice, big wide open floor plan, plenty of seating inside and at the bar. Patio is spacious and well maintained, with beer garden tables, as well as some high table seating. Open area with corn hole. Busy, but still easy to find a spot on the patio! The vibe is definitely modern, hipster.
Quality - only tried two of the beers. Didn't care too much for the $6 IPA, but enjoyed the more reasonably priced $5 Wit.
Service - quick and attentive at the bar; staff checking on patio guests often enough.
Selection - 8-10 beers on tap, good variety.
Food - food truck parked out front, so easily accessible.
Value - mixed feelings; a few offerings are $6 and a few $5. Beer was merely okay, the atmosphere was terrific!
