A favorite of mine from Devil's Purse. It's a house beer on tap if your ever on Cape Cod and sold locally in stores.

Can showed best by 8/1/22. (Squeaking this one in just under the radar).
L - clear golden (on the darker side) with thin carbonated white head. No lacing (bummer).
S - apples/cider. A little grassy. Nice.
T - similar to nose but noticing more maltiness.
F - medium/thin mouthfeel. Fairly crisp. Good smooth finish.
O - First time having this. Won’t be last (as long as I find it). Enjoyable beer.

Can. Beautiful CLEAR gold with island head and lace. Assertive grassy grainy aroma. Medium sweet grainy and malty with medium herbal grainy finish. Medium light body with lively fine carbo. Fairly hearty for the style but delicious.

A healthy white head forms atop a deep straw gold brew. The slow fade leaves nice amount of lace. Gentle carbonation as it sits.
A full-bodied aroma of malts and sweet mild sugars, corn and doughy dinner rolls. Lightly grassy hops and a light lemony zing.
Tasty malt body over more of the same in
It's flavors. Light honey and dinner rolls. Mild cereal grains. Grassy hops and lemon in the clean, short finish.
Feel is medium weight with a smooth a a creamy carbonation. A mild crisp finish gives a quenching swallow.
A solid take and a new favorite. This will please anyone, from the macro drinker to the craft snob. Excellent beer!

DATE: July 27, 2021... OCCASION: celebrating on the eve of Anniversary #20... despite my gut telling out me to kill the gluten intake, the atmosphere at the Smoke House--people and Olympics watching--help me through the pain... a soft, herbal take, with enough hops to elicit an ale feel...

I love a good Kölsch, it’s just a damn shame that there aren’t too many that are widely available. Regardless, I like picking them up when I see them, and Devil’s Purse is relatively local so I’m happy to support them
Pours a slightly cloudy light gold with 3 fingers of clingy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves patchy lacing
There’s a nice grainy sweetness to the aroma in this one that nicely balances it. I pick up notes of sweet corn, honey, lemon rind, grassy hops, and bready malt
The sweetness suggested by the aroma only flashes briefly on the swallow, which works very well in this beer. Up front, I’m tasting bright citrus, crackers, lemon, and grassy hops. The swallow brings a quick rush of sweet cereal before settling down with notes of grassy hops, lime, and doughy malt
An airy medium body pairs with moderate carbonation for a crisply refreshing beer. Finishes almost entirely dry with just a touch of sweetness
Just a stupidly drinkable beer, just what I was looking for tonight. I’ll definitely pick this up again, especially in the summer

Just getting into Kolsch’s and this is a nice alternative to IPA overload. Always a good product from the crew in West Dennis.

on draft
L: 3.5 Golden body with a thin white head. Moderate carbonation.
S: 3.5 nothing outstanding, but not unpleasant. Hops and grains. Something sweet, maybe some corn.
T: 4 took me by surprise. Comes across more as a lager, and a very refreshing one at that. Pils hops, bready grains. Lemongrass.
F: 4.5 light bodied and smooth. Having on draft may have enhanced it. Crushable.
O: 4. Pleasantly surprised by this Kolsch.

16 oz. can Best by: 10/31/2020
Pours mostly clear golden yellow with a frothy white foam head. Smells like caramelized honey malty grains, some grape skin, apple, pear, and slightly funky herbal earthy floral grassy hops. Tastes like crisp caramelized crackery honey malty grains, grape skin, mild apple, pear, with some earthy herbal floral grassy hops. Feels medium bodied, smooth and creamy with crisp moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice kölsch-style ale.

Poured to a Pils glass from a chilled 16 oz can labeled "best by 2/1/2020.
Appearance is almost classic Pilsner/Kolsch -light straw, tiny bubbles rising constantly to a frothy white head however it is not crystal clear.
Straw, grass, a hint of white pepper hit the nose.
Taste is malt front, mild hop finish. Texture is slightly oily, a little distracting from a desired crisp sensation,.
Overall fair to good.

Can. Nice, simple, clean packaging for a nice, simple, clean offering. Honey, grain, grass, clean malt, yeast. Really, really drinkable. A beer I have made my official go-to Summer brew along with a nice Narragansett!
