Nice local spot to grab a beer on weekday afternoon. Good selection with indoor and outdoor seating. I expect parking could be a problem when busy. Will be back.

Finally got a chance to check them out on a Saturday night. Plenty of tasty options on the board ranging from light to dark, with plenty of their famous hazy hoppy brews to choose from. It might take a couple of minutes to order because their popularity means there is almost always a line of some size at the bar, but it's worth the wait. There are plenty of seating options both inside and outside to relax with the beverage of your choice, and you can always get crowler to go. I will be back.

Went here a couple hears back when they were new. Fun place with lots of seating. The server went above and beyond offering me sample after sample until I found something I liked. Great service and informative employees. They really know their stuff!

I love fieldwork and honestly was just making a trip out to the Berkeley skatepark.. and its right next door!! Did a few backflips in the bowl then went and quenched my thirst with a Party Cove sour ale. Great vibe, just wish they had some more bartenders. Only one line for drinks, but other than that it was great.

Selection is always solid. Even if the quantity of beers isn't as high as other breweries, the quality is always there. Plus, I love breweries that switch out beers all the time... it makes for an exciting and new experience each time you come in. Try the Sours and Goses, as those are always my favorite and quickest to go!

A large warehouse brewery space, split roughly half and half with seating/brewing. Fieldwork beers are, on average, very good. But among those are some truly top-both selections. They offer a wide variety of beers from light lagers to black stouts, usually 2 or 3 IPAs and lots in between. They are constantly rotating in new beers as well.

I only rated the vibe at 3.5 because Fieldwork in so popular, the place is often very crowded with long lines and standing room only. But it's a testament to the quality that they are so popular.

A nice brewery, helpful staff at the bar, and a selection of beers that is almost always very high quality. Occasionally there's one or two overly ambitious attempts at variety, but that's to be forgiven. Dog friendly!

Eat before you get there. They've got food, but it's pretty pedestrian.

Great place, the vibe was was good, the people were nice. Service was a little slow but it was crazy busy so it's. I worries. And their beers were awesome. Some great IPA's for sure.

V: Great tucked away location with a welcoming vibe. Inside you'll find wood / concrete and steel with a wharehouse feel to it both with sitting a standing tables to enjoy your brew. Bar is split into two sides: one for beers on tap and the other for growler and crowler fills. Outside is picnic table seating with heat lamps outlined by water troughs filled with plants. The floor inside expands to the brewing area in the back where the magic happens. Patrons tend to be enthusiast of good beer from a variety of backgrounds. Kids and dogs are both welcome which is a plus and adds to the atmosphere in my opinion.

Q: Quality is what brings everyone here as it is top notch! Regardless the style of beer you go with each is executed with success. Fresh is the name of the game here. Hands down my favorite local brewery.

S: In my experience the service here has always been good. Depending on the luck of the draw some staff here are more sociable and inviting than others. Regardless all are knowledgeable and none carry the elitist attitude that can be a turn off. With their growing popularity, if you show up during their busier hours they are simply trying to sort through and serve the lines.

S: Although their speciality is of the hop varieties they explore and offer a full spectrum of beers. With fresh being the focus their selection is constantly rotating. Regardless of how often you frequent Fieldwork you are bound to find a new and exciting beer to try. Typically 12+ beers to choose from.

F: Food here is nothing to write home about with selections limited to empanadas and closed sandwiches (both extremely similar to one another). But once you're a few beers in it's always a good thing to have options available regardless of how exciting that may or may not be.

Sidenote: In the past year or so they have started offering limited releases of cans! Their artwork is simply beautiful and the beer inside even better! It seems like they are still learning how to navigate these releases and meet demand. Regardless if you're willing to be patient with them in this process it's always a treat to get your hands on these releases!

Overall... LOVE FIELDWORK!!! Thankful to be within such close proximity to them... definitely my go to brewery! Several of their selections are among my favorites and all of them I enjoy! As they continue to expand in popularity and locations it's good to see their well deserved success!

Was kind of worried about this place, because it seemed to be a hipster magnet. In my experiences, those type places tend to be pretentious. For me, Fieldwork was not that at all. While the clientele is more of the hipster variety, the folks working were nice, attentive, and helpful. They knew their beers and were happy to give out samples, if I wanted them. Definitely worth a stop by.

Atmosphere: this place takes a page from the brewhouse/taproom book. Open space concept offering sights into a busy brewhouse. nice outdoor patio and lots of places to sit.

Quality: they put out some very high quality beers, but I don't think they quite hold it across all styles. They had some very good hazy ipas, but their west coast ipas didn't quite live up to other examples. regardless they made a large variety of styles well.

Service: mostly go to the bar to order deal but as it got busy they had some people circulate. a smooth running system. everyone was nice and helpful

Selection: of the breweries I hit in the bay-area they probably boasted the widest selection of styles. I got the chance to try a lot of their beers and most were on the good-great end of the spectrum

Overall: a great brewery and a solid taproom experience. I had some memorable beers while visiting.

Fieldwork is quickly becoming a staple on many tap lineups around the Bay Area. They are constantly churning out new delicious recipes, it's likely you'll be trying something new each time you see them listed.

If you like their brews then a visit to the source is obligatory. (To fully enjoy it, have a driver... ) There is a great selection here but different on any given day. The food falls into the high end snack category but it's very tasty.

what a cool place this is, sort of in an odd part of town, but really pretty neat, maybe off the beaten path a little bit, industrial sort of spot, large fermentation capacity inside the quaint and minimalist taproom, they have some picnic tables both inside and out, a two sided bar with growler and crowler fills on one side, some limited baked food items, and a very impressive draft list, at least a dozen or more beers working, lots of natural light, friendly but unremarkable service, and a whole lot of taste beer. we sat outside and had more rounds than i can count, time flew by here, and i cant wait to revisit them again down the track. some of the highlights were the hoppy beers for sure, several pales, ipls, doubles, and even east coasty ipas, all were outstanding. i also really dug the morning time coffee beer, but all of the beers they had here were quite good. it wasnt unreasonably expensive either for how much we drank. these guys are making a great name for themselves and apparently have plans to expand. sounds like their beer is in real high demand, and a few glasses and you can see why. great stop if you are in the area, they hype for the most part is well warranted.

edit: recently visited their napa outpost as well, and its in the center of a bustling market, really happening and cool. impressive how many drafts they have up their, and its a bring your own food situation. a good place to mellow out and people watch with some fine ales. cool to see them expanding!

Although Fieldwork is getting retarded busy on weekends it's still my main stop in the East Bay for growler fills. Most of the staff are pleasant, the head brewer is ridiculously nice and the beers are for the most part on-point. Great hops, interesting stouts, tasty sours...it would be great if some of their better beers became house staples. A must-stop if you're around Berkeley!

Very nice vibe in here with a lot of natural light and an airy feel. I could see this place getting packed but when I was there it was mellow (afternoon on a weekday).

The beer selection was great, having saisons, a gose, pale ale and IPA and flavored milk stout. Samplers were reasonably priced and generous in the pour. Got a growler to go and the price didn't destroy my wallet.

This place would be a go-to spot for me if I lived in the Berkeley area as the variety is appreciated and they make some solid beers.

The tasting area is located in pretty large warehouse. There are a number of in-house offerings that are available by the glass, 32oz can and growler. The beers are quite delicious, however crowds can be long. Dog and kid friendly, pretty chill vibe.

Vibe here is a bit overcrowded these days... loved it when they just opened and were always empty but that isn't good for business! The decor is kinda standard reclaimed wood/edison bulb in a warehouse mood, but it's comfortable temp and a decent place to spend some time... if you can find a seat!

Quality is top notch. Only had one beer I can recall that was bad. (But it was AWFUL)

Service is middle of the road. Can't complain.

Selection is very nice, always a broad offering of their own beers. No guest taps but it's a diverse enough brewery that you won't need them I guess.

Food is kind of a waste here... or it was so far. Sort of seems like you are paying premium prices for a heated up trader joes snack or something. I heard they have expanded with some olives and other things so I will have to try again and adjust if need be.

This is a great brewery. If I lived closer, it would be my local spot, hands down.
Fieldworks continues to push the envelope with flavorful, handcrafted, downright great beers.
I am impressed with the lineup, from the tart/brett/sours, to the IPAs, English Pale, Brown ale, etc. They have a wide variety for all different people.

Super impressed with the equipment in the back, I really like how you can see the brewery in the back, with the layout being great for the beer enthusiast and passionate homebrewer.

Food was great, I had a buttery croissant, actually had 2. I'd recommend the chicken and mushroom, as well as the vegetarian curry. I will come back for sure.

Count me in as a fan of Fieldwork. I enjoy the facility—it’s spacious and airy, without feeling the least bit vacant. Shared communal tables and standing room at the bar work to give it a welcoming feel, and they’re baby—changing tables!—and dog friendly, too. You can get some nibbles or bring in your own food, they fill outside growlers, and there’s no shaker pints to be found anywhere. Plus, the beers are all solid if not stellar. Each time I’ve visited I’ve gone in for a pint and ended up spending my afternoon here. Looking forward to seeing more from these folks.
