2020 bottle. Thick black body, oily legs. Chocolate fudge, moderate vanilla sweetness and mild dark fruit, a bit of a swirl ice cream thing going on. Fair bit of whiskey warmth and oak. Full bodied, mild char and vanilla bean dark fruit flavours lingering on finish. That's pretty solid, almost VR-esque, would have liked a bit more vanilla a la Handjee, but I can't complain too much about a solidly done vanilla barrel-aged stout.

Oddly enough the first noche I've ever opened. It had a real nice aroma of vanilla icing on a chocolate cupcake. Flavor was the same. My wife said she detected a hint of sour but I did not get that. Tasty but let's be honest, this is way overpriced.

Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a pleasant bourbon and vanilla blend. Taste is also a very pleasant smooth blend of bourbon and vanilla.

375 mL bottle. Black body without much of a head. Smells of vanilla and bourbon. Sweet chocolate. Tastes of dark chocolate. Lots of vanilla. Bourbon builds in the back with a boozy and oaky finish. Sweet and a little tough to drink from the alcohol.

I will say this wasn't the vanilla monster I'd envisioned in my mind, but it was damn delicious and easy to drink. Too easy to drink. I crushed a pour in a heart beat without making the slightest note of the 14% ABV. It drank like something half that amount of booze and all the while creamy and rich.
The flavor is oaken, vanilla present, and seems to straddle the old ale, english barleywine and imperial stout flavors, presenting elements of all.

Super delicious. Perfect amount of thickness. Smells like vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Probably the best BBA stout I've ever had. Yet to have FO and VR however.
