Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very mild slightly sweet peanut butter. Taste is also a slightly sweet peanut butter.

Appearance: jet black in color with a light tan collar. The collar is the only head that remains immediately after being poured.

Aroma: peanut butter cups!...nothing more, nothing less. There is no doubt what this beer.

Flavor: as with the nose, peanut butter cups. Lat(er) in the finish comes molasses. Enjoyable, a very good dessert beer.

Mouthfeel: light-heavy. Very enjoyable. Appropriate for style.

Overall: very good. Certainly worth trying and will be repeat purchase. This beer reminds of Founder Breakfast Stout in a way - not by taste, but by delivering on exactly what it promises. This beer transcends novelty and is a legit imperial stout.2

On tap at the brewery. Comes black with a decent tan head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, and peanut butter. Taste is chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and peanut butter. Does taste similar to a Reese's. Very sweet. Delicious.

Perhaps my favorite stout to date! Peanut butter brews can be funny sometimes, this one though, is spot on! Tried this at the brewery, so from tap to glass, pour was black with a small tan head that backed down after a bit leaving tons of lacing. Smells like a fresh peanut butter cup. Smooth drinking and tastes just like it smells. Great beer, wish I was able to get this one regularly!

So the one I drank was the 10/27/17 version, 9.7% ABV.

Slightly disappointed by this. The chocolate and peanut butter are on the back end, and the body is fairly thin.

It smells really really good though. I just wish the taste matched how it smelled.

I think the 2018 version would be a better one to grab considering they upped the ABV and peanut butter cups. For this one, I'm not really a big fan, but it's definitely not a drain pour.

On-draught @ Weldwerks:

Yeah, she's sweet, but damn if that isn't a tasty dessert stout.

Even 6oz is a bit much, but it's a fine digestif stout that evokes Reese's in classic adjunct fashion.

Low B / GOOD

i may be in the minority on this, and i kind of hop i am (dont want oo many breweries focusing too hard on dessert stouts...), but i thought this was awesome, one of the best in the series so far, and one of the better uses of peanut butter i have known in a beer. apparently they use actual peanut butter cups, but i dont know if thats true, sure tastes like it though! an entire league better than the cookies and cream edition, the peanut butter explodes from the nose of this. natural tasting to me, not greasy at all, but gooey and even salted a little bit, which i thinks helps the sweetness not be as overbearing as it is in other beers in the series. milk chocolate here, decidedly candy chocolate, not nibs to me, not bakers chocolate, not cocoa powder, but straight up sweet milk chocolate, it gives a creaminess to the beer, and there is obviously a ton of milk sugar in here too, and maybe some vanilla too, but it all seems in service of the peanut butter, and it really does taste like reeses! ive heard they are asking some astronomical prices for these, and im not down with that, but its hard to argue against this beer being awesome, because it really is. sure, a small pour is plenty and a whole bomber may require an insulin shot, but thats the sacrifice here i guess. i am getting less and less interested in these kinds of beers lately, but this is really wonderful stuff, nice job weldwerks!

650ml bottle. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark black body, cola hued with an one finger off white head, long retention and sparse splotchy lacing. Smell is straight Reeseā€™s peanut butter cups, milk chocolate and a bit of chocolate fudge cake, light cocoa nib presence. Flavour is a good cocoa bitterness that somewhat supplants the peanut butter powder and cup sweetness but gives the beer a nice balance. Nice milk chocolate and nuttiness overall. Mouthfeel is medium fuller bodied, silky and quite viscous. No booze. Super tasty and fun to drink.
