cool format for weldwerks, real heavy glass, bright orange wax, this looks fantastic, and a huge thanks to my boy claystation for hooking this up, it was a cool treat to crack for the fireworks and share around. this is 2017 vintage, and im not sure time has been amazing to it, the peach is still there for sure, but it is exceedingly sour, bracingly acidic. not much head on this but its not flat to drink, pale rusty orange toned and pretty sedimented towards the bottom of it, a little tired looking maybe. the nose is nice, the best part of this, juicy ripe real peach and lots of it, it hasnt been fermented out at all, its really juicy and good, super summery, takes me to an orchard. a little wheat malt behind it, a white wine thing, and then a lemony layer to the sourness before its vinegar. the pucker gets more intense as this warms up. some brett in the flavor too i reckon, and lots of oak on this, the peaches still taste fresh, and there is good complexity here, but the sourness is too much, its distracting from the peach part i like so much, and its hard to drink more than a little bit of this, like a large format bottle passed around like six ways was about the limit for me. it hurts my teeth, but i dont quit on it because the peach slays. i have to imagine these are pretty rare now, and with how these guys have blown up with the cool kids, its probably pretty valuable, although i try to not think about beer that way. genuinely fun to try, sorry i couldnt share it with the dude who gave it to me, but it was fun to crack open with new friends for the holiday. i cant imagine this will improve with more age, the time is now or never probably. would have killed to try this fresh...

750 mL bottle. Pours clear golden. Smells of oak, peach, and stone fruit acidity. Tastes of peach and tartness. Pleasant combination. A little oak. Light body and crisp. Ultimately simple but very tasty.

Pours a vibrant orange. This is jam packed with peach flavor. Slight sour tang to balance the fruit. Finishes with a jammy thickness. One of the best sours ever made. Goes toe to toe with Fou Foune.
