Brewed with more than 12.5 lbs per barrel of Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops, Extra Extra Juicy Bits epitomizes excess. And yet, against all odds, this absurdly hopped Double IPA manages to find balance, thanks to the soft, creamy mouthfeel and smooth finish contributed by the white wheat malt, flaked oats, and flaked wheat. added. With notes of tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, peach, and grapefruit, Extra Extra Juicy Bits is bursting with so much fruit juice character that it makes you question whether or not actual fruit was added. But there is just enough bitterness to keep the beer grounded and remind you that it’s a Double IPA.

16oz can. Poured out a very cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of pineapple, grapefruit, guava and sweet caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a piney bitterness and toasted caramel backbone.

Juicy chunky and tropical. Citra Mosiac El dorado hops are thick in this. Mosiac extra extra juicy bits for sure. Juicy, complex, and super fun. Juicy bomb! Sweet and bright fruits all over. Fresh, crisp, and very smooth overall.

A - Pours out a hazy pale orange, with some translucence. White head, moderate size that fades to a thin cap, and spotty small bubble lacing.
S - Primarily hop dankness, a bit of tropicality, orange citrus and pith, and a bit of zest.
T - Open is orange juice and resin, middle of sweet maltiness that underlines the juiciness, then a finish of pith bitterness, lingering on the tongue with just a bit of citrus acidity.
M - Moderate weight, some resin build, a dry close.
O - I prefer the original, but that is not to say that this is a bad version. The amped up flavors are well built, and I enjoy the effect overall, but I think the balance on the original Juicy Bits is a bit better.

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, mango, apricot, nectarine, grapefruit, pineapple, papaya), very nice diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, mango, apricot, nectarine, grapefruit, pineapple, papaya), very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! Milkshake!
