Notes: New England-style Double IPA brewed with a villainous amount of Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops.

16 fl oz pull-tab can:

Heavy on passionfruit and citric fruits, with the Nelson varietal white wine flavour taking a definite backseat. It emphasizes Galaxy over Nelson, but I think that works here.

Soft and coating on the palate with enough of a smooth wet medium-bodied presence on the palate that it never feels unrefreshing despite its 8.6% ABV.

Juicy and unfiltered to its detriment...this is one of those India Odwalla Ales that tastes very similar to its kin further down the shelf. Fails to stand out against the competition.

A drinkable IIPA, sure, but there are far more expressions of the style out there boasting better depth of flavour and superior hop pungency - some of them from WeldWerks themselves.

This Is another solid brew but still running into the issue of being boring. With their ipas it's like they are good but what came first. Idk. Definitely a good hazy just kinda bore snore.

Very cloudy straw appearance with nice white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very pleasant pineapple/grapefruit. Taste is a very smooth prominent pineapple/grapefrui.

16oz can. 11/7/18 can date. Appearance: Milky, hazy, light golden with a low lying white head and decent lacing.
Aroma: Fresh strawberry, pineapple, and mango hop notes with a touch of grassiness.
Taste: Rich, juicy malt sweetness up front that is instantly bitter. Tart citrusy orange juice abounds, along with some pines and mango, blasted with a sharp bitterness on the back end.
Mouthfeel: Thick, creamy, milky bodied with a moderate carbonation
Finish: Leaves a bit of dry, sticky hop resin with a strong bitterness over a touch of orange juice.
Overall: Definitely has the typical hazy, milkshake NEIPA appearance, with an awesome fruit burst aroma, and a rich juicy citrusy flavor. This one is much more aggressively bitter than others in the style that are more balanced due to the heavy body and sweet citrus maltiness. Ultimately, this is a little harder to drink than Juicy Bits because of the crazy high bitterness, but still exceptionally flavorful and aromatic

i keep approaching these weldwerks beers like i dont like them before i even try them, its a bandwagon thing, and i never want to be on it, but every time, even with a negative starting place, i walk away impressed. this is killer, and yeah, you could put nelson in just about anything and it would taste good, but this is a really well done hazy ipa overall, at least as good as anyone else is doing in this style right now, fruity and bright and the right amount of dry starchy malty, and again a stupidly well hidden abv. i pick nelson out right away in the nose, and in the flavor i get sauvignon blanc and kiwi fruit, a flash of floral honey, oats and raw wheat, even rice, and definite tangerine and possibly dandelion or something like it, fresh and floral and green and also a little bitter. the flavor of the hops is amazing, the best of galaxy and nelson, so good together too, i know there has to be an absurd amount of hops in here, but the base beer is well crafted too. i like it still having a little closing bitterness and i like the substantial but dry malt base. simple beer really, insanely new school and dry hopped, but positively delicious. scary sessionable for what this is, and for whatever reason, better than what just about everyone else is brewing in the style. elite level.
