16oz can at share. Milky yellow pour, a few bubbles. Pineapple aroma, fruity, sweet. Taste brings more fruity flavors along with notes of lactose, tangy.

Opaque bright yellow with a white head and thick lacing. Smells and tastes like a pina colada with an extra helping of pineapple juice and coconut. Body is creamy with decent sweetness, zest, and a finishing smoothness from the coconut. More pure and potent than most milkshake ipas

Not a fan, ended up dumping. Surprised by this as have never had a bad beer from weldwerks before. Unbalanced, the pineapple overshadowed everything else. Actually burns the back of the throat at the end. If you handed this to me blind I would have thought it was a bad fruit sour.

Canned 4 weeks ago.

Pours hazy orange with a lasting white head and lacing.

The nose and taste definitely resemble a pina colada. Pineapple, coconut, vanilla icing, orange, and medium bitterness.

The mouthfeel starts medium+ with a decent leafy hop bite on the finish, perhaps my only point of contention with the beer.

Overall, tasty and definitely pina colada-esque.

Thanks Steve!
Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a pure burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating cap of a foamy white head. Subtle spider web with some fluff but mild.
The aroma had some toasted coconut, sweet vanilla cream, pineapple, floral hop character and an ample super like-able grassy hop blend.
The flavor blended superbly between the bitter and the sweet letting all of the previously mentioned aromas authentically. Quick aftertaste of bittersweet hops, pineapple and toasted coconut tones.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Some noticeable hop harshness bites at the creaminess only to lend a hand to some zesty hoppiness. Mild finish of sticky pineapple, coconut and hop spice.
Overall, for once, I actually like this milkshake IPA (I'm usually not a fan of the style, but for my first Weldwerks), I gotta admit this was done quite well

Picked this up with many others on a recent work trip to Fort Collins, Colo. Everything I’ve had from WeldWerks has been fantastic and I expected this one to be in that mix as well. Untappd description read, “A remix of one of our most popular beers and the perfect summer sipper. Piña Colada Milkshake is a New England-style Milkshake Double IPA brewed with lactose, Citra & Mosaic hops, toasted coconut, pineapple puree and vanilla. We’ve brewed a few batches of Piña Colada IPAs in the past, but hands down this one absolutely nails the flavor profile of its namesake.” Sounded pretty legit, despite not every remembering having a pina colada before.

Poured a pale-to-golden hazy color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled a nice 50/50 mix of coconut and pineapple initially. Also vanilla, hints of oak, butter, floral and Mosaic. More of the same from the can with buttered coconut, pineapple and vanilla dominating. (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted very close to the nose. Got toasted coconut, pineapple, vanilla, hints of oak, butter, floral and Mosaic. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Dang. I’m guessing this is what a Pina Colada tastes like. It’s awesome. (Overall - 4.50)

Pours a very hazy apricot orange color with lots of floating particles. Thick white head that leaves gorgeous lacing. I'm torn by the appearance. Love the lacing, hate the "floaties." Aroma is coconut and tropical fruit forward. Flavor follows the nose, sweet fruit and lots of coconut, very little bitterness in the finish. Feel is thick and chewy. Overall I think they accomplished what they set out to do. Just not sure that a beer this sweet in a 16 ounce format is for me.

As a huge lover of these adjuncts, I was excited to try this beer, but woefully disappointed. The smell is an odd mix of hops, pineapple juice, and slight malt background. Taste follows, with essentially an overly hoppy pineapple juice cocktail, with some slight coconut presence, and overall the beer doesn’t deliver on anything close to balance for a pleasurable experience. Very surprised at the high reviews for this one, but being Denver resident, I know the hype is strong with the brewery and gimmicky beers like this are all the rage...not for me. Buy one and try, not a four pack like me!
