Juicy Bits - Double Dry-Hopped With MosaicJuicy Bits - Double Dry-Hopped With Mosaic
Notes: The third iteration in our DDH Juicy Bits series features Mosaic hops, which have become an irreplaceable staple in our brewhouse. Our 2017 harvest-year selected lot of Mosaic features notes of ripe pineapple, mango and even a hint of lime, and it is showcased beautifully in Mosaic DDH Juicy Bits thanks to the more than 4 lbs/bbl of Mosaic added to the dry hop, which combined with the normal hop schedule of Citra, Mosaic & El Dorado, brings the total hop rate to over 8 lbs/bbl!

Canned 12 days ago. Pours pale hazy yellow with a film of white head.

The nose is pineapple and peach with floral and spicy undertones.

The taste is pineapple, orange, and berry with earthy, muddled Mosaic dankness mixed in. I think I prefer the base Juicy Bits (and definitely Extra Extra) but this is very good.

The mouthfeel is medium with medium bitterness.

Overall, tasty dank fruit.

L - Another DDH hazy from WW, solid in appearance, decent head retetnion
S - Fantastic melon/cantaloupe whiff, with some weediness to it, and some dank peach as well
T - Good, not amazeballs, on the verge between melon and mango, good use of Mosaic in the DDH process here...
F - Great creamy mouthfeel without feeling "milkshake-y" - kudos to WW on dialing this in.
O - Another great JB variation using Mosaic at the final stage in double dry hopping. Try it!

A pint can dated 11/07/18 poured in a Dogfish style IPA glass. It was refrigerated upon and since purchase.

Look- Pours a hazy dark yellow leaving behind a thick finger of creamy white foam. It slowly settles revealing some sparse lacing.

Smell- Dank weed, floral, passionfruit, mango, grapefruit and yeast esters.

Taste- Passionfruit, mango, grapefruit, white grape, dank weed and floral.

Feel- Smooth drinking with a very dry finish.

Overall- While it's other solid hazebro from Greeley, I'm starting to have a hard time telling them apart sometimes except for the price.

This is exactly what you would expect based on the name. It has a great Mosaic aroma, berry and pine. Flavor is much like reg Juicy Bits but still has that harshness I pickup from Juicy Bits that I don't understand. Good beer.
