Notes: The Legend of El Dorado lives! This hazy, juicy IPA has been hopped exclusively with 100% El Dorado hops, which are also the namesake of the mythical tribal chief who, as part of his initiation rite, is said to have coated himself in gold dust and then submerged himself into Lake Guatavita. What goes together better than beer and South American history?? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

16 fl oz can (canned 06/01/20) served into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.

"Hazy India Pale Ale Brewed with 100% El Dorado Hops."

Drinks a bit light for being an ostensible IPA...one could say its 6% ABV and relative lack of hop pungency make it more a pale ale than an IPA. Hop profile is fine...hints of pear, some citrus, maybe melon. But I don't know that going 100% El Dorado was the right play; a dual purpose hop like El Dorado with a more restrained flavour profile doesn't seem like it would lend itself naturally to a single hop beer.

It's got a terrific soft mouthfeel and is highly drinkable, but I don't think it's on par with Weldwerks' better IPAs (plain ole Juicy Bits included). I wouldn't buy it again but I won't mind working my way through the couple of 4 packs I've got.

Canned 2 weeks ago.

Pours hazy yellow-orange with white lacing.

The nose and taste feature notes of watermelon, honeydew, and peach. Unique.

The mouthfeel is a soft medium with light drying bitterness.

Overall, very nice. Bonus points for the distinct hop profile.
