Served in a teku glass from the can.

Appearance: Super hazy smooth yellow with deep bubbles on the body and a subtle head rising just over half one finger's length off the body.

Smell: Piney aroma, comes to the nose and you inhale a lighter forest aroma and leaves quickly. Strong and quick.

Taste: Deep floral with and extra dose of piney feel and subtle alcohol with and oatmeal like sweetness to the beer.

Mouth: Medium to full carbonation and strong body. Very sticky, ehh might be the time of day or maybe my palate has a slight soapy feel to the finish. Mellow and nice.

Overall: Descent brew which I really like but nothing which amazed me. Worth grabbing at least one just to have one. Salud!

Purchased 7/321 from Spaz Beverage West Chester, PA. Can not find any date on the can. I had never heard of Weldwerks, but you could buy a 2 pack and figured odds were in my favor that this would be good. The only thing I can say is that if you see this; buy it! Absolutely worth the price!!

Can to snifter.

LOOK: hazy medium yellow color; haze=80%; small off-white head, very good retention; legs.
AROMA: grass, tropical fruit, citrus, strength of aroma=40%
TASTE: tangerine, grapefruit, mango, lemon grass, heavy grass later, bordering on hairspray, but there is a lot of juiciness to balance.
FEEL: medium body, grassy/acidic sharpness, good carbonation.

Not without flaws, but very tasty. I wanted this to be a bit smoother, but it was just ok in that regard. Had one the other night and loved it but I did not rate or take notes (granted, it was my 6th or 7th, so relative quality started getting hazy.)

So I liked this beer (consumed at Sour Fest 2019 at Hops & Pie in Denver), but I thought I was getting an exclusively hopped Nelson beer. Slight bummer.

Pours a hazy light but dull copper color with a slight 1/3" white head. Good aromatics, but not Nelson so much. Citra and Mosaic seem to push the weight in the nose.

Taste had more of the El Dorado and Citra than anything, full on juice mode going on here. Even though Mosaic and Nelson tend to be the most pungent of all hops, they aren't doing their thing to the extent I had hoped for. It does hide the alcohol quite well, despite lacking a dry crispness to it, too much haze trub I guess. Lots of tropical fruit notes just keep going and going. They didn't skimp on the hops here, but there is a bit of muddling from too many different kinds I think. Wouldn't mind keeping just 1-2 of them, maybe getting a solid bittering hop.

I'd still bang it again though if I saw it on a shelf or on tap.

CAN: 16 fl oz pull-tab. Canned 04/20/20.

Served cold into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.

"Hazy Double India Pale Ale." "Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado hops -and- Double Dry Hopped with Extra Extra Nelson Sauvin." 8.6% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Turbid orange body. A bit dull/lacks vibrance. ~3cm white colour head...could be more robust, creamy, and soft, but it's not weak or thin or anything.

No yeast/lees are visible within. Appears well carbonated.

AROMA: Fruit juice, citrus pulp, orange peel, Odwalla juice, tropical fruit, pale malt/2-row, wheat.

I search for Mosaic's signature subtle blueberry and don't find it, nor do I find Nelson's white wine intricacies

Very fresh, hoppy, and enticing, with an appealing hop flavour at least judging by the aroma.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Pulpy, fruity, citrusy. Oodles of Odwalla/Naked juice-redolent muddled fruit juice. Muted citrus (i.e. there's no fresh orange peel or luscious mandarin or anything crazy acidic). Balanced, though it fails to showcase either Mosaic or Nelson well...there are no blueberry or white wine flavours, unfortunately.

Smooth, pulpy, medium-bodied, wet, well-carbonated, refreshing despite its high ABV, approachable. Textured and thicker than many IPAs, which elevates its fruit juice flavours nicely at the expense of drinking clean and easy - though its ABV is shockingly well disguised, to be fair.

Yeasty slurry. Proteiny sludge.

Not oily, grapefruity, piney, oniony/garlicky, or overtly floral.

Depth of hop flavour as good inasmuch as the Citra and El Dorado are concerned, but as already noted the Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin are just not coming through as much as they should.

OVERALL: Drinkable and enjoyable despite its focus being on fruit juice flavours instead of its hop varietals per se. It doesn't elevate Nelson Sauvin over something like Alpine Brewing brewed Alpine Nelson, nor is the eponymous hop overt in this beer, but it's another good-but-not-great imperial IPA from one of Colorado's finest hoppy ale breweries.

Canned 4 weeks ago.

Pours hazy orange with a finger of white head.

The nose is orange, mango, bubblegum, and skunk.

The taste is an awesome blend of juicy new-school citrus and skunky green. Medium bitterness builds gently as the beer warms.

The mouthfeel is medium for the style.

Overall, very good. I slightly prefer the base Extra Extra.

Presentation: Draft, served in a Rastal Craft Master Grand.

Appearance: The one finger head goes down into a foam layer that stays until the end. It leaves a lot of lacing in rings and sheets all over the glass. It's a beautiful, murky, bright gold color with a slight orange tint.

Smell: It's a sweet and fruity aroma with notes of mango, pineapple and lemons. There's a slight hint of earthy pine in the background as well.

Taste: It's juicy and fruity with a hint of bitterness in the background and absolutely no alcohol presence despite clocking in at almost 9% ABV. There's mango, papaya, grapefruit and a hint of green grapes too as it goes down.

Mouthfeel: Perfectly balanced; it's soft and creamy but without getting cloying and without chalkiness. It has a medium body but it's still refreshing and there's a slight crispness from the medium carbonation.

Overall: There's not much to say other than this is an amazing beer with lots of fruity character and almost no bitterness. It's very well made.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Consume on April 29, 2019. A hazy double IPA with over 14 pounds per barrel of Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado and Nelson Sauvin hops. Delicious and highly recommended.
