Canned 03/20/19, 'PRETTY LIL PIES'.

The pour on this is hazy but a deep orange color, like a west-coast style IPA hue but without the translucency. There's some rising carb that froths up to about a half inch and then settles back softly into the beer. Heavy lacing as I drink it down.

The nose is all fruit candy. There's a sweet malt quality that could be due to the 3 month wait time to open, but it really works perfectly with with that initial citrusy sweetness. As the beer opens up a little further, there's a really good follow-up of white grapes and spicy hops that emerge and balance everything up nicely.

Sabro is a very underrated hop variety that I think really shines in this beer. It gave that initial tropical sweetness on the nose, then also follows up with that same mildly coconutty tangerine sweetness on the palate. Again balanced nicely by that Southern hemisphere spicy/floral/grassy influence of the Nelson Sauvin, and honestly I really love that the 3 hops used here really all shine very clearly in this TIPA. A return of some white wine essences and stone fruit, with those underlying citrusy notes throughout and a touch of bitterness in the finish.

This thing drinks dangerously smooth for an 11.3% TIPA. It's smooth and juicy, with a good amount of sticky residual mouth coating and without much of any booze or warmth until it's on its way down. Very well done beer all around.

Pours a hazy peach yellow with a thick white cap that lasts and leaves generous lacing. Aroma is faint, citrusy. Flavor is sweet ripe fruit and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Overall a very nice beer.

Pours just a slight hazed golden color with a fresh white head. Smell is floral and juicy with citrus ,white grapes ,some wood and spice. Taste is very nice i get cedar and mint with stone fruit,citrus/tangerine ,some white wine its very complex with many nuances in the hops, a nice touch of bitterness in the finish. Mouth feel is soft the ABV is not detected hints of spice and vanilla mix with the hops ,its not overly sweet and highly drinkable. Watch out at 11.3% this goes down fast and hits hard.
