L: Pale apricot yellow-orange. A thin ivory head settling to a thin ring and some splotchy lacing.

S: More on the citrus, stonefruit and grassy notes than the mango and tangerine of the standard. More spicy and less boozy. Overall lower rating as the smell is more muted.

T: The taste follows the nose and I feel is an improvement on the regular version.

F: Thinner but highly crushable. Off-dry and well carbonated. Smoother than the standard.

O: A nice variant I'd be happy to have again and probably over the standard.

16 fl oz pull-tab. Canned 04/23/20.

"Hazy India Pale Ale" "brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hope. Double dry hopped with Sabro. 6.7% ABV.

Hop profile is quite complex and diverse yet unified by citrus. Orange juice, coconut, mango, faint hop oils, creamsicle, Mandarin orange, vague tropical fruit. Balanced yet about as hoppy as a 6.7% IPA gets, and there's no burdensome bitterness or scraping grapefruit flavour like one would find in many equally well hopped expressions of the style.

Medium-bodied, smooth, wet, zesty, a bit oily, well carbonated, refreshing.

As drinkable as they come in terms of hoppy ales...just packed with flavour. Malts don't intrude on the hops...I'd bet this was almost all 2-row save for wheat and/or oats. A nice change of pace from the caramalt and Crystal malt riddled gutbomb IPAs floating around out there.

Showcases Sabro to excellent effect, and it's another terrific spin on its already great base beer. More impressive work from one of Colorado's finest IPA breweries.

Really nice ddh hazy, lots of citrus on the nose and palette; grapefruit, mandarin orange, good hop aroma and bitterness. Traces of pineapple and coconut/vanilla. Yellow-gold with a creamy one finger head. Ok lacing, smooth and creamy umami with a bit of bottle conditioned (I assume) funky bite along with the bitterness. Very nice, I may just have to make the 8 hour trek to Weldworks to compare this to the OG juicy bits.

Canned 2 weeks ago.

Pours hazy yellow-orange with a thin white head.

The nose is coconut, pineapple, and orange.

The taste follows. The Sabro dry hop works well with the base beer. This is soft and balanced compared to some other variants. Pineapple, orange, coconut, vanilla, and mild bitterness.

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium.

Overall, very nice.

Pours hazy orange juice with a thin, white head. Big lacing.
Nice mango, melon and citra hop smell.
Juicy Citra Hop Taste. Candied fruit of citrus and softer melons. Slight resinous pine hop with peppery spice. Nice hop combination. This all comes together in a very enjoyable way. Easy to spot high quality ingredients.
Nice softer mouthfeel with malt smoothing out the edges.

Canned 4/23/20; drank 5/3/20 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big, noisy eggshell head; strong, frothy lace.

Pine, caramel, grapefruit & mild baking soda notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Grapefruit, pine, caramel & mild baking soda flavors up front; hints of avocado on the finish.

Unique, but not real pleasant. I won't have another.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the caning date printed on the bottom, served in a Rastal Craft Master Grand.

Appearance: The one finger head stays around for a while and it dissolves into a thick foam layer that remains until the end. It leaves a lot of lacing in big sheets all over the glass. It's a murky, pale straw color.

Smell: There's a lot going on and it's awesome. At first there's some tangerine and grapefruit, then some coconut and mint shows up right after and it finishes with a slight woodsy note.

Taste: It's very juicy and it starts off with a strong, acidic citrus flavor of fresh squeezed grapefruit and lemon juice. Then it moves towards some softer fruit notes of peach and mango. Finally, it finishes with a hint of grainy sweetness.

Mouthfeel: It's smooth but slightly watery and it feels quite light bodied and mildly crisp with medium-high carbonation. Despite the intense juiciness it's not cloying at all and there's no chalkiness.

Overall: It's sweet, fruity and Juicy Bits through and through. The generous helping of Sabro hops, however, gives it some variety in the fruity flavors and aroma, which is nice.
